Two Years...

Postby peobryant » Sat Apr 28, 2012 3:43 pm

Man, it's been two years already. It seems like just a few months ago I was driving my truck back from the hospital with my newborn son Rory, and Dallas. He's changed my life forever and made me a much better man than I thought I'd be at this point in my life, I love that boy like nothing else. He has taken pretty much all my truck funds, but I'm okay with that. :D

I'll post some pictures later because I don't think anyone has seen him other than the few I posted after we got back from the hospital. Every time we're about to go somewhere he runs outside, points to my truck and says "daddy!" because he wants to ride in my truck. That's my boy!

Anyways, I just wanted to thank everyone on here who's wished me well the past few years. I haven't been very active here since he's been born and it's nice to not be ridiculed by people just because we're (Dallas and I) both young, un-married parents. I know some people don't agree with our situation but everyone here has been very supportive of us and I really appreciate it. 1stgen.org is like my second family, even when I don't have the time to post I still read up on everything to see what's going on. Sorry for ranting, just figured I'd let you guys know what's up.

I know the feeling about changing your life. My daughter is 6 now and i dont know where id be without her. Beia single dad makes it a little harder but it's all worth it.

It gets even better, eventually they learn to wipe their own butt

Kids are great. The times you spend with them with overshadow any other experience you had.

Parker,

Your young fella is growing into a very interesting age......always eager to learn and fun to watch grow up. They catch on quick and pull off some pretty funny stuff. That kid of yours has no idea of marriage. What he sees in his world is a family.....a Mommy and a Daddy and a good home ! Hug him lot's. He will remember affection for the rest of his life and will be good in society. A buddy for life man. My boy is all grown up now and will be heading out soon to face the real world. They grow fast and time passes quicker as we get older. Cherish the moment my friend ! ;) 8)

Kiss the little fella for me Parker, i love kids, he will no dought be a good person because of the way
you and Dallas are raising him, you can tell kids that are loved and cared for from neglected ones
that never get any efection by there behavior.

My grandaughter is 19mos now and feels more like my daughter with her and her mommy living with us
and it gonna be the hardest thing i have ever done when my daughter gets married and moves out taking
little Emma jo to her new home.

Of course i will get alot more done because i can't seem to stay in focus with all the golfcart rids and playing
outside, every morning 6:30 sharp were on the golfcart checking the fience, just me and Emma jo.

i was about your age when my son was born, and we did have one heck of a good time messin with the
old cars/truck as he grew up.

its good to know that some young parents can stay together and raise a kid, congrats on being one of them Parker.

PS, fill his hands with mechanical stuff as a youngin, and for gods sake, get the kid some lego's!! on that note, just cleaned out a house that had a few boxes of lego's in them, pay for the shipping, and they are yours
