My truck's first public appearance

Here it is in all its glory

I've since de-red necked the exhaust and put on a normal 4" piece of pipe.

and the engine bay. I've since made an intake that improves performance in my mind

The PO and original owner was a farmer that I know fairly well. It sat for seven years before I got ahold of it and I have been using, driving, wrenching, and beating on it for about a year

I've seen those valvecovers on 3 separate occasions I think. Time to put a shiny set of wheels on it, weld up the diff, and get it throwing down about 400 horse and piss off every quick car around you. :)

The green valve covers were my idea and at the time I'd never seen anybody else do it. I am in fact on the hunt for a set of Alcoas off of an OBS Ford. I'm also more than likely to have an intercooler and larger turbo before I get any significant body work done

Spot, eh. Eventually I'm going to paint it, but that may be a long way down the line. The problem is the mechanical work is so much easier on these 12vs

Paint has been on my mind for a year, but I'd rather use a wrench than a piece of sand paper ANY day

Id convert it to a dually and stick a flatbed on it especially since you use it for farm work

I'm glad you are driving that thing and keeping it alive. Around here that would be "too far gone" and some sissy would part it out and ask $3K for some high mile engine, $800 for the bed, and then wonder why nobody has called. It looks like the cab only needs rockers welded on and the bed needs some welding but nothing you couldn't do. Then just sand the sthi out of her and at least get her in primer. Thats a good truck.

I don't think I tow heavy or often enough to justify a dually. A flat bed is a good idea really, but I like being able to put the tail gate up and nothing falls out. A flat bed would save me alot of sanding though :D

Thanks! I think the time it sat saved me since it didn't collect all that road salt and such. On the other side of the coin though, alot of seals in the fuel system were dried out
