Ya, I for sure want to do something like that. This one was surprisingly clean! Don't think the one in the '93 is though. Blend door won't hardly move at all.

Know what kind of sound deadener your gonna put back in it?

The factory stuff works fine for me. Not that loud with a tail pipe, even straight piped. Though, I may add some to the rear wall, if I wind up putting stacks on this one as well. Have a set of 7 inchers to put in, if I decide to. The '92 has NONE in it (no carpet either. ), so it is plenty loud in the cab.

I have heard that "Lizard Skin" works pretty well, I am gonna try it when I replace the cab on the 92...if I ever get that far

If you think yours is noisy, come drive the '92. Well, at least before it was hauled over to have the tranny and t-case rebuilt. They were louder than the engine. Found why......... Wasn't pretty.

I have a sweatshirt wrapped around the base of my shifter, then around my4x4 lever, and the rest on top of the tunnel,lol

Got to work a bit more on things today. Seat belts out, carpet ready to be pulled, almost all the interior trim is out, door panels off. Would've had more done, but had 2 loads to haul today.

Naw. Haven't messed with it anymore. Just been tearing the donor down. Bringing Nathan out to Michaels has been the only time I've had a passenger since I brought the 93 home.

Got a few more pics up, of the stripped cab.

Found out today, while removing the old pin striping, that the pass side of the bed had been repainted at some point. Had suspected it had been. Paint wasn't oxidized as the other side is. All they did was mask over the factory pin striping and repaint. Made it a PITA to remove the stuff. Had paint over part of it, its self. Couldn't get all of the pin striping either. Some of it was stuck under the paint, along the edges. Sand it down more, I guess.

Got the aux fuel tank unbolted, with a bit of help on the 2 bottom bolts from my boss when he came into the shop. Found the pipe going from the aux to the main tank had a few pin holes under the rust. Glad I caught that! Would've been an expensive problem!

Box is ready to be pulled, and the cab just needs the nuts removed from the mounts, then they can be swapped over when I'm ready. Cab won't be pulled til the bodywork is done. Have it mobile on the old D350 frame, so I can roll it around, if need be, to make it easier to work on and move without damage.

Once the cab floor has been prepped and hit with primer, I'll start pulling what I can out of the 93 cab, and move it over. Mainly just the headliner and trim for now. Can't put carpet in til the bodywork is done.

Cab corners are a little worse than what I thought they were. Found a few more trouble spots under the carpet, below the jump seats. No real surprise though.

Na all tight, jus noisy and rattly lol, used to be much quieter affor we had to go an hack up my carpet and floor for the 6 speed

Got some new rubber on my 93 now. Went with Cooper STT in 235/85/16. Will post pics I took later. Still need to polish the rear rims, but at least the shakes are now GONE!!! Had 1 bent rim for sure, and may have a couple more that I took off, when the aluminum rims took their place. Looking meaner now.
