Wish I Had a Crewcab 4wd Square Nose

Postby Diesel » Thu May 17, 2012 5:02 pm

Seems like 2wd square nose Dodges are all over the place. 4wd short beds are also not THAT rare. But boy do I just want a 4wd crew long bed. Like an 85. I guess next time a crew shortbed 4wd pops up ill have to give that a look. I've found a couple gassers over the past year. All about $1,200 or so, solid, but not that clean. Anyone else into the square nose crews?

Me neither. Hell, I don't really need a truck for that matter but that sure as heck didn't stop me from buying one.

Without my truck I could make my living but boy would it be funny driving with two pallets on the roof of an SUV...

I have 2 Crew Dually 2WDs, an '81 (the nicer one) and an '82.
I started to put the '82 together last spring, got as far as putting a Tommy Lift on it and yanking out the rear axle....and it sits.
Mainly because It was just a bit rustier than I care to mess with.

Right about now I'm not so sure either will ever see the road again, I just have ZERO ambition to even mess with them. :?

Convert to 4wd and SRW.
Given what they are, it's going to be really hard to find a 4WD Crew and there were only a hand full of factory long bed ones produced.
I had a 4WD shortbed one late last year and it didn't stay very long.

I didn't get nearly what I COULD have out of it.
$1500, no engine/trans/transfer case.
