Easter Ohio/Western PA folks?

Postby MMiller » Tue Jun 19, 2012 5:56 pm

I am in the process of buying a 400 Chrysler engine, complete. The guy will meet me with it somewhere in easter Ohio, at a date yet to be determined. What I need before we can set up a date, is a place/person/shop/equipment that will help me move it from his pickup truck to mine. I think there is some guys on this board that live in that area, anyone could offer some assistance? In the next few weeks likely the transaction will be completed.

Thanks guys.

Got a friend that lives just outside of Columbus, OH. Should be able to get you fixed up nicely at the farm shop.

The homo crowd is from way down in south eastern Ohio, at least an hour and a half south of C-bus. I myself am from that area as well.

I don't know much about anything to the north of me.

I'm almost centrally located in the SW corner of PA between Interstates 70, 79, & 68. I can do a 6000 pound lift without any difficulty. I would need to know the date picked in advance to avoid any scheduling conflicts. PM me if you need me.

Seems like people on here don't read much when I post something helpful or significant that can help them out, travel wise.
I mentioned having to do a delivery to Southeast Ohio.
Michael, if you can take a trailer, wanna' deliver a rolling frame for me?

Yeah, I have a folding cherry picker too, but didn't really want to haul it across several states. You guys have been to my shop, do I like to use cherry pickers much? ;) The last time I relied on a cherry picker in BFE, it turned out badly, and I was finally leaving the site at the time I was planning on being home......6 hrs away from home.

I'm not so sure the boss would have been ok with a 20 hr trip in the service truck. I'm sure there would have been questions about the GPS trip report Monday morning too.

C'mon now Michael! You meet up at a nice truck stop with smooth level pavement and use the cherry picker in the parking lot! Piece of cake!

They'd probably call half way there asking WTF was goin' on!

Know of a couple of guys that used to work at a Co-op. They were supposed to be out doing soil mapping. Instead, they were out joy riding in the corn field (running through the mud holes and all). When they got back, the truck was all covered in mud and corn stalks hanging off the bottom of the truck. They forgot that the guys in the office could see they were driving crazy out there, and had one hell of a time trying to explain that, vs just getting stuck in a hole.
