Yep, better the deer than the truck, besides, deer are nothing but super enormous rats anymore.
Courtesy of PETA and the goobermint, of course. :P

BUT, if you think about it, if (when) our government and economy go into total collapse, there will be a great thinning of the herd, courtesy of good ol homo sapiens.

If they want them gone, they need to loosen regulations. The liscensing process here makes it expensive to shoot a deer

Bryan, he must have hit it just right, because I broad sided a big arse doe with my brothers ultra clean 02', and all it did was bend up the cheesy chrome brushguard and push the bumper in. Took it off and used 8x8's with my 20 ton press and it straightened right out. It bananna'd the a/c condensor, but it didn't break. I guess we got lucky

One practically OBLITERATED the nose on the old '95 V-10 truck I have.
Killed the front bumper, grille, hood, passenger's fender, broke the radiator loose of the lower pegs, wrinkled the A/C condensor and halfway gave me a heart attack.

Then the damned thing just up and ran off!

I heard a story about a guy in I think NC that had a few issues with the DNR and got his liscence revoked so he beefed the heck out of the front end of this truck and put spikes in the bumper in order to smoke deer and keep trucking. The DNR didn't approve

He just didn't hit this one. It had antlers and those caught the front and it nailed every panel down that side of the truck when it broke loose. His wife and oldest daughter had come down to have supper with me that evening as well. They nailed it 1/2 way home (1.5hr drive). :/ Bent some other stuff up front as well. Original estimate was $4500, and the ins co went ahead and fixed it. They'd appraised the truck at $10k. $9k later.......... Buddy wound up selling it at a loss.......

It helps having a lifted truck and grille guard. The one I hit I broadside at 65mph it caught dead center of the drivers frame horn and upright of the guard. And then I ran it over with both axles.
