I can kinda contribute part of my generation's morals and comitment to obligation
to him, as most if not all of us grew up watching him and the way he disciplined Opie
but still showed him love.

this is for the folks that like a little pickin ( the Dillards ) in real life.

shure was a great show, and one that anyone could watch.

Andy always did have good taste in music it seemed. The episodes with the Dillards were always some of my favorites. He even had Clarence and Roland White on there at least once.

It makes me sad to think how many TV shows we have today compared to back then, but how few are even worth watching.

Boy I agree with that! All the reality shows, Jersey Shore, Survivor, and that other siht isn't fit to watch. Nothing is too immoral to show nowadays. And the remakes, Dukes of Hazzard, Starsky and Hutch, all kinds of movies, that stuff is all crap too. The originals were great, but the remakes are just cheap computer graphics stuff. No imigination in the movie industry anymore.
