So my truck sort of caught fire...

Postby absentheart » Wed Nov 07, 2012 10:41 pm

My transmission start spewing that expensive NV4500 oil everywhere, I wiped it down so I could see where the leak was coming from and took it for a test drive. I had the shifter off so I could see down to the transmission and was so distracted by fighting the shift stub that I didn't notice that I had the parking break on a couple clicks. So when I pulled back in my drive way all the oil that had gathered inside the brake rotor lit up. I was able to put it out before it did any real damage, first time I was able to put my submarine damage control experience to use on a real fire.

Now smile because you are probably having a better day than me

The previous owner to my truck had put a metal twisty tie around my fuse box, and when i took it off one day it caught on fire in the cab... I know the feeling
