I'll check. I got new air and fuel filters.

I don't like running boards either, but it will have to wait until after my the new baby comes.

Matt, what are you doing in my garage? It may be the accelerater pump or the adjustment, but usually the pump. Pretty simple to change too.
Looks like the running boards didn't save the rockers any, figures!

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

The drivers side is worse than the passenger. It don't look like much in the picture, but its not to bad overall.

Is the accelerator pump available at parts shops? Also, do you guys know if it has a D44 or a D60 front axle? I need to change a tie rod end and was hoping there was way to find what it has without scraping off and inch or crud. :D

It has a 44 in it, easy way to tell is just looking at the hubs. If they are small, then its a 44. That and its stamped on the front of the diff housing usually on the lower left or right side next to the cover (can't remember exactly), if you are looking directly at the front of it.

Only way I've got an accelerator pump was in a carb kit.

Most w250 gassers had a 44. Some even had a lame semi-floating 9.25 8lug rear, but the majority had a 60 in the back. In 84 I think the 60 should have had the big selectro external locking hubs. On the upside, you don't have the trouble some CAD axle that appeared in 85 or 86, assuming it hasn't been changed.

Jeff you are right as the 60's had selectro's up to and including 89. I believe 90 on ups got internal hubs, i.e., warns, etc.

I think its a 44 - it has 44-something stamped on the right side of the pumpkin.

Matt, you are right. The 3/4 tons that I have seen with 44's in them have Dana 44 HD's in them, not much difference in standard half ton 44's other than 8 lug hubs...

The back does have a D60. I checked last night.

I got a Borgeson shaft on order too! 8) The slip coupler was the worst i've ever run across - almost a quarter turn slop in the steering wheel.

What's red-line on these trucks? I put a tach in it today and it seems like it howls by the time I hit 3000 rpm.
