I don't have pics of the F250, but anyways

With my truck, I've netted 5.5k with my 460, 6k for a pick-up, and 10-12k+ with hay all on the same single tandem 24' G/N several times each. Would I put two 4320s or two 1 tons on it? No, that's just hard on any truck and that's what a semi is for. I'm comparing my truck to a '00 F350 CC DRW and the difference isn't worth 2.5K on the pick-up and 2 more drive tires.

I never notice sway (side to side right?) and the trailer doesn't push me that bad. However, I do like to know it's back there. I've racked up probably 500 miles dragging that G/N and it's a piece of cake to tow. No problems towing that F250 home and I had hills and curves there. I took an easy, banked 90* turn on a 2 lane state highway at 55 and I didn't feel a squirm. A dually isn't worth it to me where I'm at, under 15k net usually. Over 15k, I don't know if I've ever been there, it may be different.

Well, I lied. I've decided I want to get an '89 D250 (don't care if it's a manual or auto) as a daily driver now because I can't find a Subaru that's worth a damn at anything close to a reasonable price. So, be on the lookout for a cheap, 2wd truck for me. I wouldn't be against a drive if the truck is decent. Basically I want it to be reliable and cheap, that's it. I don't care about options, looks or anything like that. I'd appreciate it if you guys would be on the lookout for me, and if you're close enough take a look.

Thanks.

My 93 W350 dually gets basically the same mileage as the 92 W250 I had.

I don't need a dually most of the time, but when I do, I can pull whatever I want, and not worry about it. Gets better mileage than some Ford Rangers I've driven! :P 8) The 93 gets better mileage than my 97 and 99 3500's did, even towing. 3.54's may have helped, had I swapped them over from 4.10's.

More stable too. Especially with bumper pull trailers. One I've used several times had tail wag really bad.

As for tires, All 6 (235)on my dually were $300 cheaper than the 4 (315) I put on the 92. So, tire size does affect that.

Wide tires is another thing I just don't get. I doubt I'll ever have any wider than a 235. There's no arguement that wide tires eat up mileage. I call anything wider than 235s ag flotation tires

Parker, http://tippecanoe.craigslist.org/cto/3380705945.html I know this guy and he's even a member of this site. I've not seen this truck, but if you value my opinion, I'd look at it. It's just north of me.

That is EXACTLY what I'm looking for, thank you. I'll give the guy a call and if you aren't too terribly far from it I'd really appreciate you taking a look at it. Lafayette, IN is about 3 and a half hours from me but I'd be happy to drive that distance for a good truck.

The 315 sized rubber was already on the truck, as was the lift. First lifted truck I've ever owned. One great thing about the 35" rubber and 4" lift....... I can sit up under it, in many places to work on it. No need for blocks under the front wheels for the 5 gal bucket to change the oil either. And, another great thing is, that with about 50psi up front and 40 in the rear, it softens the ride over the 235 rubber. :) But, the Cummins doesn't make the front end sink in my gravel drive after a heavy rain either. ;)

I do need front springs on the 92 in the worst way though. They are wearing into each other pretty good and sagging pretty bad.
