Ellis, ether doesn't work so good anymore. Since they got all enviromental and took out the chloroflourocarbons or whatever, it just doesn't have the POP it used to. :lol:

Didn't know that Pete,it's been a long time since I mounted any semi tires and needed it thank god. Anything bigger than an 18 and I don't fool with it,and they better have 4" side walls too.

Yeah, it's been quite a few years since I did any either. I remember trying to pop a tire and it would only burn. You need to get the right combination to get it to pop the tire up on the bead. Light it and stomp the sidewall, hold your tongue just right, close your eyes, you know the drill. ;)

With my previous statment about cheapness, i have used the old close your eyes and light method
many many times, it's scary every time, i hat it when it goes boom and seats the bead then when
it cools down the air inside pops back off.
