Holy Crap!
That's one ugly POS, magnified 5 times by the fact that it's a damnable FORD!

Looks like a REALLY old DMI type/design bumper

While nice, I notice it give farmers a greater amount of courage of the stuff they are pulling than it should. They don't realize there isn't brakes back there until the try to slow down quick.

That's kind of bologna. You only have to slide through an intersection once  If you're never going fast, it doesn't take much to stop. I feel comfortable with 340 bales of hay behind me on 2 wagons. I don't know, it's all what you're used to. Same with ammonia wagons and homemade trailers

I don't get how you guys don't get OBLITERATED by the DOT doing that kind of shti.

If I did crap like that, they'd hang me by my scroties and cut slowly with a dull, rusty knife, but these phawcking farmers get away with MURDER.

Really pisses me the phawck off!

I've yet to see a DOT agent on a county road. A SMV triangle pretty much solves everything, but keeping one tacked to a piece of equipment is a challenge  Farmers don't see it as getting away with murder though

Just ONE time I'd like to see ONE of them around here get their asses spanked.
They have turned me in for stupid shti and I'm one who typically doesn't MOVE with even a bad sidelight, much less tow something weighing 17,000 pounds with no brakes.

Yet these pussy-assed FARMERS, they almost NEVER get stopped and I've seen them BLATANTLY drive by the HiPo-po with obviously unsafe shti, and nothing happens.

As I said, pretty phawcking irritating!

Get a magnetic "Farm Use" decal made that looks like spraypaint and stick them to your door when you're running local, Mark. Those and a SMV triangle and you could pretty much hang your ass out the window at the DOT as you drove by around here.

It is a spring cushioned hitch. My uncle had one on his 80 F250. Works better than a DMI. Schuck makes one even better than that. :D

That's the best fuel ecomomy that I've ever heard of out of an IDI from a reputable source. I've heard numbnuts say that they knock down over 20, but that's BS. A guy I know used to have a 7.3L IDI and he got something like 10 or 12 with an auto no matter what. Not too good in my book

I know of a few that get horrible mpgs and some that got 18 or 19 regularly. It's all in the gearing with them,if you run less rpm they do much better but feel turd slow or wont pull worth a damn.
