Yea. Let me tell you how proud of my peers I am.

I have my moments. I think before I speak and think before I ask a question. This is why I seldom post here about a truck problem and mostly hang out and BS. I still take it apart and try to make it run better, but I don't come crying here when something goes wrong. I bail myself out. These concepts are nearly lost in the 18-24 demographic. Kids these days

Looking at the underside rust on the thing, if I hadn't looked closely at first, I'd get scared and retract my bids, too.

It sure has awfully few wires to be be a 47RE in there. He's pretty gung ho about his little gem there. The thing that people seem to commonly misunderstand is "collectors" pay 20k for ORIGINAL trucks with LOW miles, not repaired Bondo buggies with 190k on them. Idiots, just idiots.

Know what you have, simple as that

In passing, it looks ok, but holy smokes, that thing has some serious rust issues! My 91 has the same floors...none, but mine has a great frame, not one with half of the spring hanger rusted away and the lower edge of the frame by the fuel tank rusting away

Only got to $4700. I wonder if it sold or not?

Ike, frame rust by the fuel tank is common. Mine is all pitted real bad there too.

$4700??? Geeze...pretty spendy for something that is pretty much a donor. IMHO, body rot is ok, but if there is severe frame rot, like that one, it's done.

Pete, my 92 was kinda rough there too, but it didn't have part of the lip missing like that truck did...

Thought I saw a crack that was running up the side of the frame too. I've got a good spare 2wd frame, if anyone needs it for that truck.

Amazing how clean the engine bay looks to be (unless some was repainted?)

I seen that truck on E-bay, too. Rust, everywhere you looked, more rust. I don't know where he's getting his figures, $20K to $25K. Like someone stated earlier, those trucks are very well kept, low mileage, and completely rust free. I think he misses on all counts.

I get a kick out of these too. The clown wants to trade his older gasser Chevy for a Cummins. Or a Duramax. Don't hold your breath kid!

For your consideration: http://buffalo.craigslist.org/cto/3513617469.html Found that little gem on another site.

Tom may know that guy in Buffalo, it's not far from him. The seller looks like a little kid in the cab. Did anybody else notice he didn't say anything about a pyro?
