I'd have taken you up on that offer.

I was going to buy a little bit cheaper bed locally, but I had to go to Nebraska to get parts from Mark Nixon anyways. So I thought what the heck.....this is as close as I'm going to get to the Bradford Built factory so I decided to swing through Kansas while I was at it.

It was a fun trip for me and dad. A little over 2000 miles in three days in a regular cab twin turbo 1stgen with no radio and an 18' trailer (really needed a 20 footer or longer). We were loaded down like the Beverly Hillbillies. Only trouble we had was a flat on the trailer that we caught before it got too bad.

Yep.......happens to me ALL the time. 1 am nights (when trying to hit the sack at 7pm) are at least 3 times a week. Do you have the issues when your mind is on something?

Ah.... I'm the type to mentally "get on a project", and be up all night, after night, after night until it is right. Like tuning the truck, or tuning the bow, or have an idea..... I'm one of those guys. And it looks like tonight is another one of those nights for me.

Sometimes I get like that, but I often have A LOT of time in the service truck going to sites so I do my "designing" then (I actually have a complete plan for a 8.3 cummins crew cab that I want to build) that took something like 14 hours to think through. I also have brownies engine and trans planned out. Sometimes it keeps me awake at night with excitement. Other times like tonight I'm just working really late (still close to an hour from getting away from work) and it just isn't a good idea to go to sleep.

Hineman, I always wanted to take a road trip in my truck and then I remember that I don't have O/D. I think the farthest I've ever drove it was to Richmond to meet up with you.
