Your opinion please

Postby cmann250 » Sat Feb 09, 2013 1:19 pm

Over the last few days, I've been pushing some parts. Most of the prices I put on them came from what I thought I'd pay for the item or what I thought would sell quickly. I find the old classifieds to be a good resource to gauge the value of a part because you can see what sold for what price. Also you can see what won't sell and should have been scrapped. (i.e. my gas core support )

I do understand that with the classifieds left open, threads get dug up that have been inactive for years and the parts are more than likely long gone.

I would like to see the classifieds locked instead of deleted, but my opinion is not the only one that matters. The same 30 day time frame (if that's what the time period still is) would be used before a thread would be locked.

Please vote in the poll and discuss below.

How about just a sold section like on other forums? Leave them in there for 6 months to s year then start deleting?

Guess I'd lean towards a time frame one could select, as the ad was put up. Have the ad up for 30, 60, 90, 120 days. Or, when item is sold, the poster has to say that it is sold, and gets deleted within may be 3 days. Option to renew ad before it expires, too.

I think some change would be a good thing. I try to mark my items as sold on forums when they are gone. I was thinking that alot of the ads simply expire after say 30 days and are auto deleted, unless the seller keeps after them.
