That's what I thought. I didn't think we had any other people active here.

I haven't seen Richie or KTA in quite a while, of course I haven't been able to get on here much either.

Some people have better things to do than babysit us.
And by "US", I do include myself in that.

I sorta' feel for David, he has to take care of all the whiners on several different sites and try to be fair to many people on sites with different rules.
I tips, me hat to ye, boy!

I guess I don't care, so long as the "helper" isn't being a sneak and doesn't have their own agenda.
However, I will say that IF there IS anyone "behind the scenes", not listed as admins or mods, what does that say about the trust factor of the people running things?

That'd be like electing a President who tells people he's "for them", yet does things to hinder them.

I'm it fellas. I hope that doesn't deter folks from being themselves. :)

- Richie: As I recall, he had some real-life things to deal with that required his full attention. It was he who brought me into play. Rich does in fact stop in on occasion.
- KTA: Dunno. I've often wondered if something here caused him to back away from things, but doing a basic search of his posts comes up with nothing. He was carrying on like anybody else then simply fell off the RADAR. I have access to contact info that Brian provided in the Staff forum board in 2007. I confess I've not attempted accessing him figuring he's a grown man and can fill us in when he deems it appropriate. I do miss his technical expertise though.

What happened to Muddy?

FWIW, I've an open thread in the Staff forum since Mar 4th asking these same questions and have yet to have a response.

@ ellis93: With the relaxed atmosphere and minimum rules, this forum is easy to work. I should say: YOU folks make it easy to work.

As Mark's pointed out, yes, we do have the occasional flair-up, but like any good BBQ, just sprinkle a little of your beer on the flames and things calm right down. :D

I am sorry for the grief I bring up. I sometimes get heated up in the moment and just like I am behind the screen, my mouth runs faster than my brain.

David, I applaud you and respect you for your responsibilities you shoulder. Thanks!

I think it just comes down to living a normal life. Time & life changes priorities. Interests change due to life's priorities and responsibilities. Hobbies get buried and get set aside; sorta put into the "pause mode" Then one day the fire of interest gets rekindled and the "resume button" get pressed. Then you pick up right where you left off.

Being on the admin team of another forum I have often wondered how many members we lost because they are no longer here on earth with us. We had many members over there that were in the military that were stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Probably the same might apply to this forum. You see somebody with a hundred posts and then they just vanish forever...
