Man, I hate to hear of this kind of stuff. :(
I've visited Jon and the family before, the place will look empty without those barns.
Sounds like the house didn't get any damage?

Mark.

The big dairy barn came out ok, it melted the siding off the house, so they didn't loose everything, but still a big hit for his family.

All the barns went up, including the dairy barn.

Scrapping this week after the adjuster comes out today. All 11 of us kids are ok, which is the main thing...

lost my grandpaw in a house fire in 1994. its a unforgiving cold hearted bitch. it gives no discrimination and destroys anything in its path. i'm truly sorry for your loss but believe me when i tell you it could have been worse.

So Jon is the insurance going to cover the barns and such?

Daryl and Bill, thanks. Yes it could have but thank God it wasn't.

Andy, afaik, yes. But the truck, no. Planned on not having it for awhile so i stupidly took insurance off. Now, if o would have been paying dad money for storage, then it would have been covered.

Note to everyone, get a tool clause. Either list all your tools or get a general $ amount and insure. They steer trying to bend my father over on things like the big air compressor and impact wrenches. Things that a "normal" home owner doesn't generally have. Ironically, my mothers 200+ cake pans, kitchen aid mixers, and baking utensils are covered
