Scheid Diesel / DDP

Postby RCCUMMINS89 » Thu Apr 11, 2013 12:44 pm

So I've been looking around to see if anyone supplies a 6 hole SAC nozzle.

Called Scheid, talked to Todd..... wow fantastic customer service. sadly even though they can make you whatever.... I'm not paying 2 grand for a set of sticks because I want something that is custom. I understand the price don't get me wrong.... it's just not worth it.

DDP... f ddp. I was simply told "Ya, I actually produce stuff that works... not some hair brain idea" so pissed.

This is why I'll deal with them time and time again. Their prices don't bother me because 9 out of 10, they have what I want in stock. This reminds me that I need to restock on fuel and oil filters.

Don't you wish they were 10 miles from your house?

Edit: I asume the stock IC injectors are VCO and can't be EDM'd and flowed to your specs?

Not sure if Buddha power is still around but I always heard great things about his injectors. I believe ahineman runs a set.

I'm so mad............. That's one of the worst customer service experiences that I've had in a very long time. It literally went " hello" I said " curious if you carry a 6 hole SAC 12 valve nozzle" he said "NO" pause... "Ya, I actually produce stuff that works... not some hair brain idea".

Guess that's why all of their stuff is 155 angle.

OH and Scheid..... amazing customer service from Todd (an injector builder) He actually started off saying that with their experience 5 hole works that best....HOWEVER.. being a ve pump it is possible that a 6 hole may perform diff. than it would in a p pump engine..... due to pressures/swirl/all the good stuff. He is also the first to agree that larger injectors are needed in a ve pump than a p pump. It's so frustrating that everytime I talk to any inj. builder they say only 5 hole and anything bigger than a 5x14 is just dumb and you'll never burn "that much fuel" if you can't make 800hp with a 5x14 then you need pump work.

Yea I deduced that after looking at the injector stickies in "The Good Stuff".

I posted this today because I was so upset with DDP's customer service.

But, now this has really turned more into the, how impressed I am with Scheid. Todd was very very knowledgeable and open minded. I actually had a conversation with him where we both knew what the other was saying and there wasn't any disagreeing. That is not found all that much because so many places are p pump oriented and don't understand that just because it's a 12 valve doesn't make it the same animal.

Never mind the split. , but this is what you're wanting right? SAC 6x.016"?

I got a replacement set of these nozzles from Scheid this past Nov '12. A set of six was $600 or so IIRC. I dealt with Joe Hakman.

FYI: They do have some new 9mm billet nozzles that they can build to what ever you want but they are rather spendy ($300 each nozzle).

I've haven't talked to John in a while, but I as far as I know he's still at it. I really like the set he made me. He's been making big power for a long time.

I called DDP and tried to buy a set of their "competition injectors" about three years ago. They wouldn't sell them to me until I bought the biggest off the shelf injector they had and ran them first. If I wanted more I could send them back and have them opened up some more. This was even after giving them detailed info about my setup and power goals.

Aren't yours a VCO? As in stock nozzle edm'd out? That's what I was told all they had in a stock form to edm.

Yep.... they could make me whatever, it was $1800 and then he was wanting to do some additional "love" for my goals which was a tad more.

no worries..... the problem lies with the fact that there was no 6 hole nozzles in a SAC format made that will work in our application.....period. So it has to be a completely created nozzle. That obviously gets expensive.

The more I'm learning and finding out a VCO nozzle is just plain dirtier when they are larger than, well...basically stock.

 I talk to Lee quite often. He is absolutely against any 6 hole nozzle, due to the VCO and low pintle deviation. He doesn't know of any 6 hole sac either. He agrees 100% on my 5 hole idea.
