Watch your gauges, if you don't have them, get them. Don't lug the Trans. Add an extra quart of fluid to the Trans. Leave yourself pleanty of stopping distance. Make sure you truck brakes and trailer brakes are in proper working order. And watch out for idiots. Oh yeah, check all your fluids before you leave and you should be good to go without much problems or worries.

The MOST important piece of advice you can get. Unfortunately those don't wear signs
Wouldn't it be nice to walk up on one and see a label stuck on their forehead

Same thing....keep your RPMs up and it'll do fine. I never shift till 2200 or above, lugging will eventually eat something

Not as bad as a gas try k but behind a mostly stock Cummins you will notice it a bit.

If you have heavy rear springs in it from the Diesel donor, take my advice, soften the crap out of them and run airbags on the rear.
First washboard road you hit, you'll either hit the ditch or crap your pants.
I did neither, but I never towed with it again, either.

Oh, and if you have man boobs and stiff suspension, your chest is gonna' hurt with that short wheel base, even on mildly rough roads.
