Feeler on parts

Postby cmann250 » Thu Apr 25, 2013 4:10 pm

I keep stumbling into these things

A local contacted me on buying his roller, as his 1st gen is bound to turn into a Fummins.

Here is my feeler on parts. There is a few parts that I'd like to have from it, but most of it is too good to scrap, yet I don't really need it.

Specs: '90 2wd auto, minus engine. So obviously 3.07s and 727. Sheet metal is overall decent, but it is a relocated Midwest truck originally from Texas (10 years ago?). It is well maintained. Doesn't have the nasty paint peeling like mine does, but the paint isn't good by any means. Drip rail is good last I saw, minor heel hole present, rockers starting to go, and wheel wells bubbling on the rear. The bed has G/n and stack holes. Tailgate is straight. The front clip is straight and clean, including the grille.
It's 1 number lower on a scale of 1 to 10 than the black Dodge that's donating it's sheet metal to me/Andy. Same exterior and interior really. Power doors.

Any interest? I could get pics if there is interest. I could also be persuaded to come to the Iowa meet in June if I sell something big and expensive. I hate to see these trucks get crushed when parts are getting harder and harder to find. I just want to avoid buying it, scrapping it, and breaking even. I'm all in or all out, depending on whether I can help others.

You'd think I'd get wise

I need a passenger side fender with no rust Caleb. Any rust on the bottom of the doors?

Fender- I'm 90% sure it's good. Doors- I'm about 50/50 on them. I can't remember.

It's troll season. I'm cocked, locked, and ready to rock as the Nuge would say. I'm on my A game.

Yes, but the front bumper is the one like I have for sale from the D150, not the later style. I don't think the gn is a high dollar turn over ball or the like, but it's not a bolt in plate like mine it either.

I can get some this weekend.

This won't be an over night affair, just an FYI to everyone. It's still a developing situation, but it's looking good so far. I'm too busy with school now and as soon as that's done, work will pick up. On the other end, my buddy needs to make sure the Fummins to be is what he thinks it is.
