I have to do a little work to it. It was given as payment by someone who couldn't pay me for work I did. I must look like one of those barter king guys. It is a $4,000 pro series gang mower though.

And they don't work for siht if you have weeds, broadleaf weeds, rough lawns, etc. I had a 7 foot set of 3 that I thought would be the bomb. Nope, didn't work for siht. Skipped spots, didn't mow if the brass was too tall, jammed if it got a stalky weed in it. Great for a golf course! ;)

I've had 2 smaller ones that did great. I kept those Razer sharp though and adjusted all the way up.

Don't get anything newer with a Koehler motor. My huskavarna eats head gaskets and carbs about every 300 hrs. Soon as it gets a little dryer the 84" 3pt. Will come out to play.

Back in 1974 we bought a brand new IH 154 Cub Lo-Boy which I still have. It's a 4 cylinder water cooled gasoline powered tractor. Other than 1 set of spark plugs, a new set of points, 3 or 4 mower deck belts, a PTO clutch, a main drive clutch, 1 fan belt, and lastly which I replaced last week - a rear main seal, it's been a pretty good mower overall. I cut about a little over an acre and a half. Cost in 1975 was around $3000 which inflated to today's dollars is just under $13,000. The belly mower is a Woods 59 inch deck version.

Here is a video of a 154:

Bob, those are nice except for 1 thing, no water pump.

I would LOVE an original Lo-Boy. Hard to find and I don't have money or time for one.

Rumble, M&W had a under/normal/OD gear box for it. 3rd and OD made for 12mph on them little things. Very few sold because of a factory fire that burned up the plans.

Heck, I just love the Cub, Lo-boy, and Cadets...

I spoke to the gentleman (via e-mail) with the Cub Cadet and expressed my interest and told him if he can wait until Tuesday or Wednesday I'll buy it and I see the posting has been deleted so I'm hoping that is because of me. If not it looks like the search will continue. Thanks for all the insight guys, I appreciate it.

Ever consider the natural method? A goat will eat just about anything and give you goats milk and fertilizer in return. A sheep will give you wool. Rabbits will give you 4 drum sticks. A cow, horse, deer,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
RIP 91.5 W250 5 speed. The great experiment.

You don't know how tempted I have been to do that and since I live on the edge of town,"Down by the tracks", they shouldn't have a hissy fit, right? ;)
Right?
Yeah, RIGHT!

I suppose goats make okay "pets" and fencing in the yard wouldn't be too expensive...

Fence? Just chain them to an old truck! If you pull the door off, it can be their barn too! ;)
