I am about to finish up the Crew Cab and need to sell the 2wd truck to pay off some debts I have. I'm looking to sell it in the next two weeks but I want you're guys opinion on the value of this thing.
IT is a 1990 D250 with a Getrag. It was retired as a farm truck since 2007. I am the second owner and rescued this truck from the fields by my house. I swapped the title, drove it to the shop and went through it. Found all the original dealer paperwork and brochures along with chrysler dealer maintenance receipts. He always took it to a chrysler dealer by the way it looks. It has 249XXX miles but the odometer stopped on it around the time it was taken off the road. My guess is it is somewhere near 300,000 since he used it on his property. Had typical paint peeling and I decided to DA sand the truck down to bare metal from the cab forward. Used some close matching paint and added a rust free drivers door which I plan to paint and put a good mirror on. Seat was trashed and I plan to change it over to red interior except for the dash (don't want to go through that hassle). I also installed a better turn signal switch along with a sport steering wheel. I added new front brake calipers, freshened up the gauges, put fresh oil in the engine and trans and greased everything up. I turned the pump up a little and the air box has been ported. I also added a perfect-condition grille surround and insert because the originals were trashed. Tailights were broken and tailgate was missing so I replaced those. I've been driving it since April 2nd with no issues. Needs some more and I don't have the time or money to bother with keeping it. Bed has dents and rust and the only other rust is in the roof. Floors and rockers are nice as well as fenders. Has a Dana 70 with power lok and 4.10 gears. It would make a great donor truck or a project truck for someone.
I'd like to get $3000 for it. Is this a ballpark number for a truck like this once I do some final things to it?
