Caleb is referring to the same thing that I noticed when I came onto the 1st gen scene. There is a select group of people that have their opinion and one feels that they can't say anything without being corrected and/or put down. This site has somewhat of an elete stature to it. Or at least he comes across that way. It is intimidating to be new. Once in the works, unless you have done something to "earn your ranks" one feels looked down upon. It's the simple way that the site has been. Nothing seemed to have changed about it. It has nothing to do with anyone in charge, all of us are to blame.

Caleb - personally............there is nothing about your words of wisdom when it comes to performance that I have ever seen different than what works. I can't think of one thing that I have ever thought "wth?" about.

Well.....I guess I guessed wrong Caleb, that's not unusual  whatever

Eric I have known some to be that way but never from the constant companions this site has. He most open right up to you. First post Levi ever directed to me was basically calling me a pussy for not wanting to turn my fuel screw in and ruining my fss......yeah you did Levi don'tcrawfish on it,own it  .
Now Pete....don't know how or what to say there
Dar is always willing to throw out a compliment
Andy helps everyone
There's more folks that are around that help whenever they can but there's a few superstars that act like know it alls but they seldom visit anyhow....so who cares. This place will go on without their presents or bloated opinion.......

This is the only diesel site that I really visit and post the others I usually just browse thru and lookie Lou. I don't see the buttheadism that exist there...here. It ain't here ;)

I post to help if I know something about it, if I don't then I let it pass. If nobody has posted I'll offer an opinion, and then usually somebody else will try to help. I figure it's better to post something than to leave a guy hanging with an unanswered question after 24 hours.
I like to poke at people, but I try to keep it from being too serious. I enjoy it when Levi or Ellis banters back with me. I try very hard not be nasty when I'm picking on someone so they don't get mad, it's all in fun to me. If I get upset I walk away, or work it out in PMs. There's no reason to get all but hurt here. (unless you're on a date with Levi ;) )

And more lately I don't hesitate to flag a post if I think it's wrong. Before I used to gloss over it and leave it for somebody else to take care of, now I try to help to keep things in line. I know BC lets us slide on lots of crap, we need to appreciate that and try to help him all we can. A word of praise goes a long way here, most mods are under appreciated get burned out with getting the "wtf did I do?" response for policing the site. Good job Dave! 8)
And if you get dinged for something, grow up and deal with it!

Wait until you actually meet the people. In 2 or 3 years I've met Andy, Bill, Hineman, Andrew (pulltilbroke), Pete, Philip, Jeremy, Tim (TWorline), Matt (meby), Mark, Tom (txs), Dar, and several others. All great folks in my opinion. There is a TON of knowledge in that run down.

Now if we could just get some of the other regulars to come out and play...

I think this site is way nicer to new people than any of the others I've been on. I hesitate to even post on Compd.... too many jerks over there.

I normally try to help when I can, though it doesn't seem to be too often. My favorite thing to do is give Levi crap, at least I'm good at that.

I'm not on compD, but I've heard if you're new they won't even bother to answer a question if you ask. What good is that? I have no interest in even going over there if they have that attitude!

Hiney, me too!

We're only nicer because we know our search sucks. :P

It's the Internet, nothing on it is really meant to be serious. Even if it was, a day or so for the crowd to wind down and youd never know it happened anways. Always assume anything semi-offensive said to you was done in a sarcastic/humorous manner until proven otherwise.

You get out of bed every day and deal with assholes in real life. You know their being assholes because you can see it in their face. At least on the Internet you can give everyone the benefit of a doubt. Just assume they forgot their smileys. :)

Also, you're all assholes. 8)

You capitalized the first letter, it won't catch it then either. It was the "s" doing it on those, you're right.
