The truck came with a set of Bulldog stainless/alum ones about a foot long. They bolt to the rockers, but wedge against the frame when you step on them, they rattled like a bitch, just by design.
Not sure the weight rating, but my brother and I are what you'd call "Husky Americans" and he broke the pass side, the alum cast failed. I won't use the drivers one now.

I like the full length frame mounted ones, that way I have something to stand on to replace wipers, cab lights, or actually be able to reach into the bed

Everything I looked at mounted to the rockers. I wanted real running boards to protect the rockers I just put on, but in most searches the 1/2 wits that post the ads don't know the difference between running boards and nerf bars so you get everything in the search.

Those are kinda neat, may have to whip something up like that.

Well, the motorcycle deal I had with my younger brother fell through. His bike got stolen from his condo parking lot a little while back, but he made out really well with the insurance company. My neighbor does repo's and buys stuff from the financial places that issue the repo oders. He's got a garage full of bikes right now, some his and some he is holding, one kinda caught my eye, since the bid is fairly low right now. It needs some attention, some PM, tires and other little things. Hopefully he can get it, as I told him that I am interested in it. I'd love to have something to ride back and forth to the plant in the warmer months.

Those are nice, but I'm not sure if the 12" tube is long enough to go from the frame on a FRT. Plus, I want something to keep the crap off the rocker panels.

Ike, did you see my new bike? I posted it on FB when I got it. 8)

So my bosses service truck (f550) has been making a really annoying squeak/rattle for the last little while that was coming from the running board area. Turns out the sheet metal right above the top mounting holes had ripped from the amount of weight they were subjected to (a lot of mud mostly) so I spent about an hour today figuring out what the squeak was, and fixing it. So heads up Caleb that might happen to your heap

I don't have running boards and my rockers are the Midwest lightweight racing model. :( The worst noise is the noise of the stupid dead head fuel system back at number 8. Gosh dang that noise annoys me.

Oh that's right

A Cummins would fix that issue

Hahaha. That reminds me, a buddy of mine just had his 7.3 break a PMR and put a hole in the block. I've been trying to get him to put a 12 valve in but nope. He's going to put another 7.3 in it.

I just don't understand why any sane person would do that. But whatever, it ain't my money or my truck. Mine will still be faster when he's done. :D

Just call them and tell them you'll need longer tubes and ask them to cap it with some sheetmetal, they're a full-on fab shop and more than happy to work with you.

I'm a bit afraid to check if I have PMRs. Sad thing is for those of us driven by money, a forged rod long block for a 7.3L is cheaper than a Cummins. Swap accessories and go to town. I looked and to get everything perfect, it's $4000 plus the engine to swap a 12v in my truck. Sadly I can't justify that in something that isn't a toy.

Just to rebuild the bottom end of a PSD with out a can or rods is almost $1300 without machine work. I just priced doing one for a guy. He would still need injectors rebuilt, turbo and hpop. He is looking for a Cummins truck to convert it or he is going to swap body onto his dump truck.
