Took the long ride Sunday night, straight to my shower floor.

Got to spend an enjoyable evening scrubbing asphalt pieces out of me with a Brillo pad and learning how wrong I was that peroxide doesn't hurt.

Throttled a little too much in a corner and the front got light, I panicked and chopped it and next thing I know I was flying. Finally got my first fall out of the way, only real damage is some rash on my stomach when my riding jacket pulled up. Bike is scuffed but fine besides a broken shifter.

Damn! :shocker:
Yes peroxide on large flesh wonds hurts,no doubting that from me.

On another note.....the ford is fixed. The module did the trick and has it running better than it ever has. I think the guy that had the truck before had a programmer on it. No way that this truck come from the factory this strong, nor it is feasible that after 200k it's still this strong. The unimaginable has crossed my mind. ;)

No mercy from Hineman.

Swap him places and check Pete's back this evening. :P

I dump peroxide in every cut I get, I love that stuff. I'll be a little more wary of it from now on.

Ouch Levi. I always use rubbing alcohol on my wounds. Just don't have peroxide.

It's a no more power thing Eric. My rev limit is 4k, and my speed limiter is set at 260mph. I maxed out at 3400rpm, and the truck started falling on its face after that (not enough supply and cp3 to keep up with my duration) maybe it's a placebo effect, but it seems there's less surge with the arp 625's installed

Well... a blown head gasket can cause surging.

Still stock injectors? Lowering the duration, with a larger injector should do the trick with what's on the truck now. Too long of a duration just starts putting things out of the efficiency range. I'm assuming that raising your rail pressure, you've already done to the point of losing power, and then backed off?

BTDT

You walked away with minor problems. That's all that matters.

Pete I worked with a guy that had 30 years in the refer trade. He told me that trick. He said he has never found a bad duel fuel refer. Those do not use Freon. It uses an ammonia jelly. Setting for long times tends to settle it all into the bottom of the fridge. Turning it over spreads it back out threw the system.

My surge is from running an s480 on stock fuel (at least that's what rjp on cumminsforum tells me). It's really more of a chuffing than a bucking (performance is smooth) my rail pressure won't go above 25k with my duration, but I don't want to back it down any more in case it turns the chuff into a buck.

I've considered putting bigger injectors in, but I've already spent too much money on this one rather than The Roo Hunter in the last few months, so once the valvesprings, and pushrods are in that's going to be it for the engine until The Roo Hunter is done

The yard tard at work has a crotch rocket and it's only a matter of time until he does the same thing. Except he does not wear a helmet. Glad you're ok Levi. 8)

I have had a few helmets look like that, I'm so glad you ware it, people that don't are on borrowed time.

one of my old bosses took a brand new Harley for a test ride, rode up in front of his house and honked the horn for
his wife to come out and see it, his foot slipped and he fell over hitting his head on the curb...killed him instantly

it was ashamed, I liked him as well as most everybody I knew.

please guys wear a danged helmet.

Levi, I'll give you $1800 for the bike so you don't get hurt anymore. Glad you're ok, I use peroxide on most of mine and the kids cuts and scrapes, cleans them right out and it heals faster.

Philip, I thought it was some kind of ammonia in it. I could hear it percolating when it was on. It was gurgling when I flipped it over too. I'll let you know how it works, I can tell you I won't be spending $1200-$2300 for a new one.
