While I'm not crazy excited to run AN fittings, being able to make tighter bend than hydro hose does have its benefits for this application. Those who have run AN hose, do you have to crimp an end on it, it can you use it like normal hose and hose clamp? Reason I ask, I'm running a Dodge Super duty cooler, and it has nipples already on the cooler, so either I clamp hose on it, I'd I have to make a short adapter hose to connect to either AN hose or hydro hose, and that's alot if connections that could leak.

Tom, I realized my buddy has a box on an '01 2wd parts truck. I'll have to look at it and see how many miles are on it. It has to be better than my 180k death wobbled stressed box. I never thought of looking on other forums. I usually shoot thru here and don't take the time to go to any others any more.

I visit this and CompD pretty much exclusively. I've been on CF lately looking for parts and have meandered into the 1st Gen section.

Looooooooots of learning....almost overwhelming. Incredible amount of technical information, just trying to retain as much as I can. Not much time for anything else, drove The Pile to work today....and remember why I parked it. Warped rotors, loose exhaust, blown out rear shocks, no radio, leaky and broken windshield, door panels just flopping around. Yup, Good old Pile got me to work ;) I need to get qualified in an area at the plant so I can start working overtime so I can make the needed repairs on The Pile

http://m.summitracing.com/parts/sum-220789 that's the AN hose I typically use unless they want braided stainless. The fittings just twist in with a little elbow grease. I don't see why you couldn't push it over a barb and clamp it as long as the hose is the correct side.

I only come on here and compd. Even then I typically just read through.
Pete if you can't find what you need let me know and I'll do some digging around for you.

So I did valvesprings and pushrods on jaeger this weekend. Pulling the injectors is not the easiest of tasks, but it was a nice opportunity to see hole count and size. Holes are less than .009", but there's like 10 of them or something. Doing the valve lash ended up being rather time consuming, as I kept finding the gaps to be different, so I went over them 2-4 times. It's kind of nice that they bleed themselves when you start them (I was rather surprised pulling the lines off, and finding they weren't full of fuel)

Eric, I'm working for MidAmerican Energy, at Louisa Generating Station.

That sunset picture was taken at about 300' of elevation. I'll get some good ones once I get up to the top of the stack, well over 600' tall...this is one of those jobs where you can't be afraid of heights, there are some walkways where its just grating or expanded steel between you, 200' of air and the ground.

Injector swaps are nice on common rail trucks,vp trucks too. I feel they are easier than fooling with the 12v engines.
Although I've had one this week (yesterday) mess up.
I did an injector swap on an 06 and had it pop a p0606 code almost 5min into running with the new injectors. That code suggests there something wrong in the processor in the computer. WTH :/

As a visual for you guys, 428 tons of coal is about 4 and 1/4 of those rail car you see. Each car carries 100 tons.

Ellis, check the harness, especially connections.

It went to dodge Pete. All the pids on my scanner suggested the torque converter was commanded on when the gear selector was in eithe R or D. I said screw that thing after double and triple checking everything I touched. Ohm'ed the injector solenoids and all wires in the vc/harness. All of it checked out good and I called that truck a ride on a big ol wreaker. ain't nobody got time fo dat.

The customer called this afternoon and said dodge was dropping the trans

I was on overtime a couple Sundays ago, we had some very heavy rain (8" in 24 hours) and it really put the coal yard guys in a hard spot. I worked out there for a night, got to run the rotary rail car unloader. Very impressive. It has a fully automated positioning system, so after the first four cars are manually spotted, this machine will move 60 cars one at a time...no locomotives needed. It takes 2 minutes start to finish for the positioning and unloading of each car, the unloading part takes about twenty seconds. 100,000 plus lbs of coal getting tipped out of a rail car in just a few seconds is freakin awesome! I didn't get to play with the D10's or the D11 on the coal pile, but it was still neat out there none the less.
