Production numbers

Postby TheSilverBullet » Mon Jan 13, 2014 1:41 pm

Can anyone get a hold or production numbers for gen 1s. Seems like you don't see very many 89 or 90 trucks and a lot of 92s n 3s. Also I have only seen one true early 91 (non ic with new grille) first hand.

Uhhhhhh.....

Maybe because in the mid-80's Dodge was solidly in 3rd place of the Big Three. GM and Ford were miles ahead in every category I can think of.

And then Cummins wanted to break into the light duty truck market. You don't go from weighing the value of your bare bones truck line to competitive over night. Just think of how many gas D and W series trucks you see on the road today. Almost none.

I know the 92 I had was built in 11/91, and it was somewhere in the 95000-98000 numbers. I seen somewhere where there was a specific number of trucks produced per year...don't remember where though :?
