No problem. I thought about firing back, but I didn't. I'm expecting the new one to get the same or better mileage as my old one. I never really got great mileage, but I always drive over the mph where 1st gens got the best mileage, and I don't think I ever had it tuned just right either.

From what I've read they'll get into the 20's like the older trucks. Mines been hovering around the 13-14mpg range, but I've been having a lot of horsepower inspired shenanigans, and idle time. I'll see what it does with summer fuel, and less idling. It'll also have an s400 rather than an he351ve.

I don't really care too much about mileage, buut I don't want to get crap mileage either. This truck is more of a tool to me than a way of life. I will use it when I need it, once I get past the "new truck" phase anyways. I got a scooter that gets 100 mpg that I ride most of the time now that the weather is warming up.

Well, 7 weeks after placing the order, here it is at the dealer..

I am going to get it Wednesday. The dealership is doing a spray in bedliner, tinting the windows, and a 2.5"/1" leveling kit. I already have the BD throttle sensitivity booster for it, but the dealership wanted me to sign an "aftermarket parts disclosure" form for them to install that, so I will wait. I will probably go with an Edge Juice with attitude when I can scrape up the 900 bucks they want for one. I will have to try it with just the throttle booster first, as they seem to wake these trucks up very well.

Looks awesome!

I'd be careful about that waiver. It could very well black ball your warranty. Also get the dealer to sign a paper saying the leveling kit will not void warranty on driveline parts should something happen.

Yeah, I chose not to have them install the booster to avoid the paperwork, but will check about the leveling kit. They wanted 90 bucks to put it in anyways, and it supposed to be super easy.

The throttle sensitivity booster adds no fuel or timing, it just amplifies the throttle signal, so the computer thinks you're at 40% throttle when you're only pressing the pedal at 20%. It's supposed to get rid of most of the throttle lag these trucks have.

That's a good looking truck. I like how mine looks with the 2" lift. Are you going to go to bigger tires too?

No, I don't think I will. I have the 3.42 gears, so anything taller won't be so good. eh.. maybe 35's in the future, but I don't know.

I was inspired by this truck, it has the 3.5/2" lift and is still rolling on the stock 17" rims and (I think) tires. It still looks great to me

I'm pretty sure that's what gears I have too. I am still on the stock 31.5's, but I think I'll go to 33's before I go to 35's. Just so it's less strain on the trans

I have 33's stock. 275/70 R18...

You can only get 3.42's with a 2500 truck for 2014. Many complaints about this.

I haven't towed, let alone drove mine yet, so I don't know what it's like yet.

Well it's a little taller than I thought it was going to be with the leveling kit. I'm worried I won't be able to hook up to my fifth wheel now.

I drove it home yesterday, I averaged 18 mpg (hand calculated). It runs pretty good! I'm looking forward to seeing how it does with this throttle sensitivity boost gadget installed.
