Chrysler orders one of a kind $250,000 Vipers to be destroyed as they no longer has any training value.
I guess they had no resale value since kids had worked on them for years.

This happens everyday with every make of vehicle. We have some trucks and cars at work that have to be destroyed when they decide they are not useful. The cars are donated to but are still owned by the manufacturer. If they are not destroyed they press charges on the training facility and will no longer donate vehicles for training.

The article I read said that they were preproduction Vipers and didn't have all the safety equipment needed to be legal. It also said that 2 of the cars got sold into the public and lawsuits resulted from accidents. The article Bob posted said no lawsuits happened. I think people are all excited because they are Vipers, Like Andy said, it happens everyday, does anybody hear about it? Nope.
