Anyone work at a part store or have access to old part books

Postby Diesel » Thu May 15, 2014 3:58 pm

I have a 65 gmc 4x4 that needs shocks. The monroe numbers on the shock bodies are no longer any good. Can anyone cross the numbers to get numbers I can buy now? I could measure and cross them but if you have actual part numbers for me that would be the best way. Numbers are 3035 and 3036 and they are Monroe brand. The 3035 also says 06D6. The 3036 also says C1E3. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me find some shocks (any brand).

Have you tried doing a search on one of the many parts store websites? Autozone, for example, listed a number of them.

Try rockauto.com? I see they have some shocks for that year but depends on model.

Yeah tried that. It's all 2wd. The 4wd is a little rare and the back shocks use a massive 1.25" bolt. I just ordered some ranchos that are the correct length and will probably just have to make brackets for them.
