The genius of today's youth never ceases to amaze me.

My chit puts 489HP to the ground, gets 16ish mpg overall, reliably beats-up on folks at the dragstrip on Thursday, just to go round trip to the coast the following weekend . . . . WITH the fully functioning:
- Grid heaters.
- Fuel heater.
- Silencer ring.
- Air filter housing.
. . . .. and so on.

Why the phak is it that any time something sneezes, one must delete it? A thousand fly's talk like Chit tastes good! WTF?

Long time no see.

2nd shift training and ATT work has me all sorts of behind.

I wouldn't go to Garmons shop personally. Swole (on CF Philip) is his biggest cheerleader and side kick. Cop too.

Love Facebook. Paraphrased convo from just yesterday. "Man, I was told no more than 5psi inlet pressure by my pump builder"

Me: your pump builder is way behind the times

Him: *names well known builder*

Me: LOL ok.

WHY MUST YOU LIE?!

Garmon helped out Big Swole a few times so now BS feels he owes him for the rest of his life.

So I actually did something to my 1st gen today. Media blasted my secondaries turbine housing, and manifold. With all the soot, and rust off of the turbine housing I've found a number of cracks on the inside. Now I'm not quite sure what to do with it

Its a 580B. Other than the pictures, the ads pretty vague. I'll prolly swing up Friday before work or Saturday morning and at least check it out. Was really looking for a trailer they had listed, and came across this instead

Had some free time before work to check this tractor out. Said they'd take $3000 to get it off the lot. Has alot of new hydraulic hides, tires both front and rear look almost new. Kicker, needs an engine rebuild. This place couldn't even get it to run, previous owner said it ran, but was "soft" which I take since these guys locked up the starter trying to get it to run means has zero compression.
Trailers didn't even pan out either. One was only a 12' deck, the other had a bent axle, and it was the old Dayton style, but not MH axle, so you'd have $1500 into new axles.

And it gets worse, that's not a 580B (mid '70's), it's a 580CK, late '60's machine. If you could get it for about $1000 or 1500 it may be ok with a bad engine, but it will cost a few grand to rebuild it so you're back to close to or more than it's worth. As soon as I saw the pic I knew it wasn't a "B". IMO, you should pass on it and look for a "C" or "D" model for about $4k, they are way more advanced and rugged. That one is actually a farm tractor with a loader and backhoe, like most brands, that's how they started to build backhoes.

Ha, noticed it was a CK as well when we pulled in looking for it. Its at a Kubota dealer, only place around to buy tractors and implements, and they dont deal. Said they'd mess with it this winter if they had time. I just noticed the price and it was in my range. There's a few around, JD's, Fords, etc ill keep my eye out

I finally got around to fixing my cold pipe (leaked like a sieve) and figured out why it was impossible to run a bead on that material. Simply put I didn't have enough shielding gas. Adjusted that, and she worked like a charm

Me - Sounds like overhead mpg to me.

Other guy - No i hand calculate snd my overhead is pretty accurate kinda funny my 04 would register like 22 and get 14 when pulling

Other guy - I drive cross country all the time i have roughly 260k miles if its super cold out i can get up 28 doing 63mph

Other guy - Stock solid 20s ....15s when pulling

Other guy - I also had 1996 12 valve got 39 mpg had over 600k miles lol had a gear splitter 5 spd with gear vendor
