And see that's where I don't like a statement like that. I'm a believer in Marriage....I feel 2 people can always work things out. IMO the only allowable reason for divorce is 1. they leave you, or 2. they cheat on you.

Pete...I'm not preaching to you on this...... I'm simply stating my beliefs. These beliefs come from our Creator.

Pete, I don't know the reasons why you are doing what you are doing, and frankly it is not our business. Regardless, divorce is always extremely sad and hard on all people involved. My prayers go out to you and your family.

It's the same view I hold Eric.....but each of us have different circumstances and belief systems. If two folks are terminally unhappy and neither side can reconcile....then life WILL be better for both apart. I've seen that before......like Caleb said above.
I personally never had it to deal with.....guess that's one thing I've been lucky with. I married a woman that would grow with me in everything but automobile interest. That has been a thorn tho  but honestly that desire has died within me. If I'm not getting paid to work on a vehicle now.....I just about don't care about doing the work. The 82 was just about to be forgotten if she hadn't pushed me to repair it rather than wait on it. Her outlook on it was that it would've cost more to fix later on if more stuff went to schit on it from sitting.

Now it's cows/guns/casting/reloading/fishing and woodwork that fills my interests and all of it benefits the family as a whole......so no/to little bitching occurs

Pete I pray you both find peace and happiness from all that goes on......just remember the kids.

I really like how this site is laid back enough that we can all express our different views and not have it turn into a big pissing match. Reason #247 this forum is the best.

Ellis I hear you on the working on stuff. I like cars and thats the biggest reason I never wanted to be a mechanic, because I want to keep liking them. Theres a huge difference between working on stuff that will make a vehicle more fun vs needing to repair something in order to make it to work the next day.

That's because we'd all be friends in real life if the interweb didn't exist. A poor choice in pick ups is the common ground that brought us together

I'd like to Thank everybody for their thoughts and prayers.
My parents split when I was about 20, and I know how it was growing up in an unhappy household. The wife and I have had problems for quite a while, and I've tried to work them out but it takes 2 to do it. I need to be happy, and I don't want the kids growing up like I did. They already bicker and fight too much and I hope it's not too late to help them. I've been trying to change the way I act with her because I don't want them to see it and treat her badly or be rude to her. She is their mother, and my opinion of her should not be theirs. I want things to go smooth and want my kids to be happy with both of us. It's going to be hard for me to change my thinking, but I am working on it and hope it will be worthwhile and we all end up happy.
Eric, I respect your beliefs, but sometimes things aren't meant to be. I waited until I was 38 to get married, and thought I found the right one and we would be together forever. I guess it wasn't meant to be, and I am on a course to hopefully make my life and those of my kids better.

It's hay season at Mann and sons farms. We have 30 acres on the ground that needs to dry by Saturday. It's year one for our 15' Deere moco and year 2 for the 18 bale accumulator. Despite new and high capacity equipment, we still power it all with pre-1975 tractors.

Anyone else want to share hay stories?

We mow 2 acres with a new Holland sickle mower, rake with a tired new Holland rake, bale with a Vermeer 605c. Used to use a John Deere 14t square baler but sold it. We mow and bale with a Case 1070 Black Knight Demonstrator and rake with a Case 400 or Case DC. Lol....used to do more but dad cash rents the farm now....

1070? Speaking my language. We put a lot of hours on a Deere 4320 and Oliver 1955. We could certainly justify something like a Deere 4640 for a good price.
