I took my car somewhere else for a second opinion and he said compression in all cylinders are fine, hooked it up to his computers and it wasn't throwing any codes, ran it up the interstate (with my permission) and everything was fine. The dealership I took it to is either ridiculously incompetent or they were trying to scam me into an engine. The "tech" said the car as "running rough" but now I think he just didn't know what a diesel sounded like.
So, I dodged a very expensive bullet. I already have the car scheduled for a DPF & EGR delete as well as a full 3" straight pipe now.

Glad to hear it wasn't the engine.
