Alright, I'm pretty sure I know but I'm asking anyway.

I'm looking to bring the RC back up to stock-ish height. The factory W250 leafs are completely folded over backward, it's got at least 1.5" drop right now. My understanding is that with the super lift "softride" leafs the diesel ones are just 2" higher than the comparable gassers, so for a 4" diesel lift they'd just supply you with a 6" gasser part and not mention it.

If my math is correct, a fellow could just order a set of 2" softrides and it oughta end up close to stock height, right? Stock height with a soft, billowy ride that no old lady could complain about.

Well what I think you are trying to ask is if diesel springs sit 2" higher than gassers........... Would that be correct?

My superlift HD gasser springs sat 1" lower than diesel springs did. But here is the kicker..........whose springs? Skyjakcer sits way the heck high, other companies sit low, etc........ so what are we comparing on?

Just comparing to skyjacker, that's why I'm specifically mentioning them.

I've seen more than one mention that they just use taller gasser springs and let the diesels sag them to the correct height.

My RC tucks 37" tires comfortably with a 1" drop so there's no reason for me to go raising it much with my current 35" tires. I just want it to ride better and it ain't gonna happen with its current <1" uptravel.

I put 4" gasser springs from either tough or rough country under my w250. It gave me 2.5" of lift measured at the front bumper.

So it turns out doing over 200km/h is scary when you're on a slightly icy road even in 4wd. Though it's the deccell part that's frightening. Interestingly this 476 maxes out at 1300* egts at WOT

Cool deal, thanks, Rumble. I think I'll be ordering a set when I finish the B2 engine swap. I'll just drive it around with a turbo until I get the motivation to throw the M90 on it.

D-man, I'm not sure I'd judge max EGT on a day when it's cold enough to ice the roads over.
