Sorry to hear about you getting hosed. Its a shame when a business person will not stand up for his own product.

Ok, I'll give a little of what has happened over the last months.

Put trans in, shifted fine for 2 days... started shuttle shifting and progressively shifting softer and softer.

Would of been about outrageously expensive to ship trans back.........Mr. Garmon said I can tear into it and he'll help along, with warrantying what needed.

Pulled trans mid September. All clutches from one to the other are bad. Nothing else.

He said "kind of figured, no idea why it happened.......I'll ship new clutches, etc...". 2 weeks go by ,no clutches. He wont call, email, message, nothing..... I leave message after message. Another week goes by and he finally texts back "should of been there by now". I respond.....what's tracking say? No response. Week after week after week again. Finally the exact same conversation goes on.

So now yesterday, it has been 3 months with the trans out and torn apart on the bench. I'm getting pissed. I write him a very cordial and nice email (it really was, I've re read it a dozen times myself). Explaining on how this has been a long time, and how calm I've been on a $7,000 transmission that didn't even last a thousand miles.

He responds via text with "I honestly don't give a Shit, trans sunk.........either send it back, or bill me for the clutches". Seriously? You say that you are sending me clutches, and now you say to buy things myself and bill you? No response again.... I say, ok.....you send me the money first, you know what they run...........no response, no response, no response.

Mr. Garmon kills 3 months of my time telling me that he send out parts.......yet "can't find the tracking number" and now wants me to buy things myself and send him the bill.

Well I don't know about you. I would have been on a road trip long before now. I find when dealing with this type of person it works best to be standing on top of his office desk explaining the error of his ways. I also wouldn't leave his shop till that trans was rebuilt.

Second option. Fly down and file a court claim against him. He will not want to see that in the local papers. Also contact the local TV station. I bet they have a reporter that wants to work on a rep for being a investigative reporter.

The reality of it is.......by the time that I do all of that, I'll end up spending the same amount of money than just fixing it myself. Worst case, cluches (couple hundred), Valve body (about $800), and converter ($1200ish). However, the converter can be rebuilt. Now...I mentioned those last things because those are what have control over the things that went wrong.

The vast majority of what goes into these expensive trans are shafts, and all the billet parts. $2250 in just 3 billet shafts.

Send him a Dick pic. Of somebody else's Dick.

I've been in two of these situations, not quite $7k total but since you made out with the billet you probably came out ahead of me. Once you fly out of state, or out of country in this case, miss all the work, maybe get your crap back, and piss off all the nutswingers, you come out behind no matter what.

Better to just do whatever you can behind the scenes to ruin them, save the messages/receipts and whip them out whenever you can to make them look bad. Preferably when they're in the same thread trying to make you look bad.

I lost an entire turbo to BBD back in the day and the worst part is that the owner sold it so I've got dirt on nobody now.

Man that is really unfortunate Eric. I'm not sure what I'd do in your position. I hope it gets resolved in some manner though. Yours is still the most powerful truck I've had a ride in to date.

Ok I may be almost 6 beers in on this post after 20 days of not drinking. I'm not entirely sure where I'm going with this, but hopefully it makes some sense.
