I actually was talking with Justin about this about a week ago, on how I've remained so calm (I had a temporary loss of temper......which I feel is utmost deserved). But, things have a way of working their way out in the end.

THD actually started with something that was similar to this. I got screwed over on an Air Dog once......I've learned that things happen for a reason. There are a million reasons why......but there is a reason why. This one, I feel, is me being in time out from the 06.

But yea.....truck was retarded. And I miss it.

On a side note........RC should be back together soon. Now that we have confirmed something with the trans (angrily, we have no help), we can throw the trans in a bin for later use. Pull the crank/rods/pistons and confirm that the wrist pins are ok and within spec. Figure might as well spec everything since engine is out. Then we can throw it all back together.

Cuz, man it drove well. Drove like a tractor.......but the ol' 24 valve ve did everything I was hoping.....and then some.

Cousin got a new company truck, '16 Cummins. Thought I'd park the heap beside it so he could realize what he was missing out on.

Auto; don't know the specs.

It was supposed to be my truck since I won the drawing for it but I told them a $50k truck would be completely wasted on me.

So after quite a few months of needing tires (some of you at sop saw what I mean) I am finally getting tires. They're going to cost me $1300 which isn't terrible. Also got a quote for $1600 from a different place

Zack Emmith
What causes anit-lock light and pedel to be rock solid half way down? Google doesnt seem to be a help.

Daniel Salvatore Hoptay
Gonna sound dumb but when mine did that I had a brake leak and the fluid was low. Fixed that and it was all done

Zack Emmith
Ill check in the mornin, never know

Daniel Salvatore Hoptay
Sometimes it's just something dumb. Pedal going to the floor def sounds like a leak or bad master

Zack Emmith
It goes half way and is just hard, stops fine still

Judy-Nate Moore
That sounds like a brake booster to me. I just changed mine for the exact same problem...

Zack Emmith
Thats what I was thinking it was

Logan Domina
Booster

Ryan Fleming
Low power steering fluid can also cause this. Check the fluid level and the hose going from the power steering pump to the booster

David Livesay
Ryan Fleming Ummm, . . . . how can low power steering fluid effect the brakes? They are two entirely separate systems.
Perhaps you are referring the the vacuum-pump, in front of the power-steering pump, not providing enough vacuum to support the power brake booster. wink emoticon
The vacuum pump, and power-steering pump are connected to one another and share the common gear-drive input. That is the only relationship between the two. wink

Ryan Fleming
I understand that they're separate pumps and how they work, but most people just refer to it as the power steering pump. And they do work in conjunction with one another. Drain some fluid from your power steering pump and let me know how your brakes work.

David Livesay
Respectfully Sir, that is incorrect. There is absolutely no connection between the two, separate, hydraulic circuits.
There is no way low power-steering fluid can effect the power-brakes. None what so ever.

Ryan Fleming
I'm not here to argue, but I promise you that it can, because I've had it happen

What a dink.

Now if he had said windshield washer fluid, I would have agreed with him. Totally had my washer fluid get low once and lost all my brakes.

Lol taco. What that guy needs to understand is that just because he added PS fluid and the brakes worked better, it doesn't mean that adding the fluid helped. Obviously he did something else at the same time that actually fix the problem, like maybe adding brake fluid.

Or his truck has been modified/he drives a 2ndgen. I know some PS fluid would benefit both of my hydroboost setups greatly.

Some people just don't think before they post. It's easy to do when you're young and dumb. Or Pete.

I'm pretty sure Pete is doing it on purpose though

Any you guys good at estimating equipment value? Local equipment dealer has a diesel case loader backhoe on the lot for $3500, I'm sure it has some issues being that price, but I wondered about trading my Bobcat 610 skid steer and alittle cash, since a loader backhoe would serve me alot more than the skid steer does.
Here's a couple pics of the skid steer for an idea

As you can see, the rims are alittle rough, buy they still hold air, and the one spool valve under the floor leaks. Only paid $1800 for it, so I don't think I overpaid for it. Recent rebuilt Wisconsin 4cyl engine, and I modified the battery tray to hold a 31 series battery.

Thoughts?

If I had to guess, that skid steer is probably worth about $2k or 2500, it's nice and painted, not all dented and stuff. What model 580 are you looking at, a C or D model? That's what model I would guess for that price, if it's an E or a K it will be beat to crap for that cheap.

Its a 580B. Other than the pictures, the ads pretty vague. I'll prolly swing up Friday before work or Saturday morning and at least check it out. Was really looking for a trailer they had listed, and came across this instead
