What causes anit-lock light and pedel to be rock solid half way down? Google doesnt seem to be a help.

Gonna sound dumb but when mine did that I had a brake leak and the fluid was low. Fixed that and it was all done

Ill check in the mornin, never know

Sometimes it's just something dumb. Pedal going to the floor def sounds like a leak or bad master
Zack Emmith
It goes half way and is just hard, stops fine still

That sounds like a brake booster to me. I just changed mine for the exact same problem...

Thats what I was thinking it was

Booster

Low power steering fluid can also cause this. Check the fluid level and the hose going from the power steering pump to the booster

Ryan Fleming Ummm, . . . . how can low power steering fluid effect the brakes? They are two entirely separate systems.
Perhaps you are referring the the vacuum-pump, in front of the power-steering pump, not providing enough vacuum to support the power brake booster. wink emoticon
The vacuum pump, and power-steering pump are connected to one another and share the common gear-drive input. That is the only relationship between the two. wink
Ryan Fleming
I understand that they're separate pumps and how they work, but most people just refer to it as the power steering pump. And they do work in conjunction with one another. Drain some fluid from your power steering pump and let me know how your brakes work.
David Livesay
Respectfully Sir, that is incorrect. There is absolutely no connection between the two, separate, hydraulic circuits.
There is no way low power-steering fluid can effect the power-brakes. None what so ever.
Ryan Fleming
I'm not here to argue, but I promise you that it can, because I've had it happen
