Hold on Ellis.

Caleb didn't push that ford. He just set inside and steered while all the people at the S.O.P. event did the pushing. The heated tail gate wasn't working also. Our hands got cold.

Aah yeah, that was fun telling him so.

On another note I finally have a wrench that gets the bottom nut on our pumps. Verified it works on a 92 engine stuffed into an 04 dodge.

I went to the Nostalgic Dragway today. Going to try to load some pics from my phone to Facehole in a little while. Some nice old iron there, racing and showing. Saw a 72 Roadrunner, a Dart that said Baby Bee on the side, a late 60's Roadrunner, and a bunch of other cools stuff. There was a Henry J racing, a Little Red Express truck. Watched a 66 Biscayne puke the driveshaft out of it. Nobody got hurt, just carnage. He just hit 2nd when it went bang.

I just thought that I was going to get to zaxby's before my amigo did........hit the key and it just flopped to "start". It didn't spring back to "run".....and it didn't start either. Thankfully for me the lightning was cracking and the thunder rolling. I took some copper wire and hot wired the thing to get me home. Anyone know if it does any harm to jumper the thing using a wire from the battery to the starter? I'll have to do it that way for a few days....

Jumping the starter is a diagnostic tool, so I'm going to say no on the harming anything thing.

Bumped my timing about 1/4" tonight. Doesn't seem like it runs much different. Little peppier at low throttle, little cleaner after a shift, boost is a bit lower. I suspect I'm underfuelled for my compounds though; when I can afford a new rad, and intercooler I'll swap to the 188/220 cam I've had for a few years, and jump a tooth. I'm also thinking of sending one of my spare heads out for some light porting, and look at modding a plenum plate to take a 6.7 horn, then see if I can get anywhere close to David's record.

5psi it seems. Maxing out at 35psi for some reason; I don't quite know why, but my boost went from 44 with the gate wide open to 50 with the gate closed, and binding a little to 40 just randomly one day.

These mechanical boost gauges are really annoying. My overall gauge randomly started leaking this morning, and I have no idea why.

On the plus side my overhead switch panel is coming along nicely. Got all the cutting done, and most of the gluing, gotta mount, and wire the LEDs, and trim, and glue the other pieces that go between the pod, and switch panel, then get it all smoothed out, and paint it.

So I asked this question once already, and one of you kind folks answered it for me......so Ive already forgot and can't seem to find it.

Within 2 weeks I absolutely have to have tires, and I figured it'd be a good time to let the 1/4 century old steelies get replaced with something gooder. I know I want a classic aluminum bullet hole (Ultra 164 specifically) 16x8 wheel. What back spacing and offset do I need so that I won't rub the steer thingy? And whats the stock offset and back space on the steelies?

If it matters the tires will be 255/85/16, and the truck is at stock ride height.

Spence I want to say you could get away with anything from +18 to -24 with those skinny tires. 16x10's in a -24 is my plan for wheels on 315/75r16's

On another note I put the grill I got from Phillip at sop11 on today; looks much better than my old one, which was in a lot worse shape than I'd thought; also bondo' done of the headlight surrounds I got from Chris last year. Gotta get some paint, so I can match the other one.
Image
And since I'd finally found a spot for one of the c's I took off a stationary engine I made a little bracket specifically to fit our grills.

Thank you sir. The wheel I'm looking at comes in either -6 or +12. If I want to keep the tires under the more or less under fenders, the -6 is what I need?

Did you make your front bumper Dman?

I'd go with the -6.

I sure did. Cost me 62 dollars, and is 3/8" plate with a 3/16" wall bar on top
