What a year! I am sorry for not being more active on this forum this year. Between my Toddler, battling with more child custody from my ex wife, and a promotion to running the Business for work..... Well... needless to say, I haven't had any spare time to do anything fun on my Gen 1! But thank God it's been a reliable good truck. I think it got over 30,000 miles on it this year. For what it is worth, I am making arrangements to buy a 1998 12V that has been converted to the NV5600. I hope that my drive from Oklahoma to California goes well, especially since I will be bring the wife and kids with me on this adventure.

I hope to get more stuff on here for everyone to see soon. This forum has been great with technical information and I am glad that an old gear-head like me can contribute now and then.

Enough rambling.... Goodnight everyone!

So I'm watching youtube...

Postby Rob_O » Sat Nov 05, 2016 2:14 pm

So I found this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sc54YUIoRNc from an off road festival kinda thing from a couple years ago. In the middle of the other insanity, I noticed there was a 2 tone gray Ramcharger rolling coal in the drags. Just wondering if anyone knows, was the guy in the grey Ramcharger maybe someone on the board?

Cummins/Crew Cab guys, I'm looking for some insight/advice.
Had an accident with my 93 W350 the other night in my way home from work, and pretty sure due to the damage it will be totaled. Figured if I have to re-cab the truck id find a crew cab and swap. Other than the time involved, if you have a complete donor and a crew cab, is it really as easy as plug and play? Strip parts off the one, bolt right onto the other?
Still debating whether I want to tackle the 2wd/4wd conversion or stretch my frame, which is undamage.

Left the house today with the girlfriend to make a grocery run. Slowing down for a redlight to make a left, a 2wd toyota comes around the corner sideways; every bit of the truck in BOTH of OUR lanes. Hit us head on at 30-35 mph. Amazingly the worst injuries between me and my girlfriend was her having a bruised leg and sore back. Could have been so much worse for us. The toyota is utterly destroyed, but remarkably the jeeps grill appears to be untouched (thank God for thick wall steel bumpers). We think the frame is tweaked considerably.....it may get totaled.

The other driver does have insurance, thankfully.

Really should have been worse considering a combined impact speed of over 40 mph.

Drunk driver.

Anyone know where to get a coolant temp sensor? The cummins ones are about 100 bucks and there's a bunch that are less than 10 that say they work but look way different. Thread size looks different mainly
