Ike, I thought about taking them off too, and Philip said "Don't touch them!" I got some black Duplicolor touchup I'm going to paint them with.

Caleb, don't do it! Take 24 west, when you get to Peoria go straight, don't follow 24 any more, then get on 75 north to Galesville. Get on 34 there, and follow it right across Iowa. Time is about the same and you knock off a hundred miles, at least going to Creston. BTDT, and you avoid all the traffic and construction near Chitown.

Ames is north of 80 though he'd be going out of his way to drop down on 34.

Edit: I guess it won't matter since he's going to NE. first lol. Carry on.

The meetings are Monday the 8th through Thursday the 11th, so I'd guess Ill be leaving Saturday morning (6th), spending Sunday in the Omaha area, and heading back home on Friday (12th). Probably be rolling across 80.

July 8th is Friday, and the 11th is a Monday. If you roll through 34 let me know because I'm in Albia which is on 34 maybe we could meet up for a few minutes depending on the day and time. August is Monday the 8th and Thursday the 11th.

Still, take I-74 west from Peoria and it'll turn into I-80, it'll take you all the way to Omaha and then some. The only construction I know of is south of the I-80 bridge across the Mississippi in Illinois, around Des Moines and when you get to Omaha...but none of it is really bad. You may want to take I-280 around the Quad Cities to avoid some construction.

80 on 80 is what everyone including myself says about I-80. Troopers don't usually mess with someone unless its really obvious.

You can cross IA in about five hours or less if you stay on 80 the whole way across...

In doing more digging as to why I didn't have much air flow, I came across this.. fixed it up with a plastic bin divider and gasket maker lol. Helped a ton!

Yeah you're not really one to talk dar, but no the hood isn't going back on until I'm reasonably happy with how it all looks. As it sits right now I got all the wet sanding to take care of the brush marks from the rust converter, and gave it three coats of filler primer. I'll wet sand that to my liking, then paint it. I have a bit of work left to do on my wiper arms too before clear, but the color is just about how I want it.
