So yeah tires didn't happen last weekend. I got sick and had kid stuff I had to do also so between the two I was laid up most of the weekend. I might pull one off sometime this week if you need me to. I honestly couldn't tell you what fits and what doesn't as I've just tossed whatever I've had on and haven't had any issues so I haven't ever checked lol.

It tore a brace out of the inner bed side and left some nice big black marks on the bed side.

Anybody have any experience with Colt Cams? We put one in my buddies Excursion when we built it. After 6 months it's ate the fuel pump love off and I'd put money that it's eating the rest. It's running funny and now missing. Colt won't stand behind it and pretty much told him he is on his own.

I kind of wish I did have some experience with colt cams Andy. Sometimes there's just a batch of cams that didn't get hardened properly. Grapevine on cf had an issue with a cam that wasn't hardened right, but I don't recall if it was colt or something else entirely.

On another note I maxed out my pump today. I have to back my idle down a bit more, but I got two turns before it bottomed out, and they made a decent difference in performance. Picked up about 15psi of boost, and the truck actually cleans up now. Still does a weird boost climbing thing in 5th

Isn't there some history between Colt and Hamilton?

Yeah David I just don't know what. What pisses us off is it ate the fuel pump love so he called and they said well they have never seen that happen. Told him just to run a zinc additive in it but there is nothing they can do for him. Now it barely runs and would barely pull itself on the trailer. I'm guessing it's wiped another love or more because it's missing horribly.

Andy, you mean lobe? I think fat fingers and spellcheck aren't playing well together today. ;)

I think you almost need a zinc additive at every oil change, they did away with it for the CJ rated oils, and finding CI is getting harder.

Shell rotella t6 full synthetic has a decent amount of zinc in it, but it wouldn't hurt to add at least one bottle of additive at each oil change.

I use t6 in my TDI and add a bottle of zinc every oil change.

Anyone ever heard of the William Skinner gravity machine from 1939? It bascally keeps an offset weight rotating and chasing a balanced position, kinda like spinning a chair on one leg. I've been thinking of tinkering with the principals of how the machine works and build my own version. Kind of a "am I a crackpot, or are the two laws of thermodynamics applied to every facet of our planet bullschit" kind of test. I won't be doing anything with this till after Christmas anyway. There is a video on utube of this machine running, circa 1939.

Well I got the 058's and m-55's. There is an up-down oscillation (did I use that word right?) between 40 and 43 mph.......It did it with the old tires too so it may not be a tire problem? Been working at Kubota for a little over a month, Monday Wed Fri Sat there, Tues Thurs is school and Sunday is yard maintenance day
