I had been smelling antifreeze a little lately so I thought I better do it before it blows out. It had 1 little stain about an inch across and an inch down, so it wasn't leaking much yet. I did find the R134A leak I have been cursing for a couple years though. The evaporator was all green from dye near the bottom of it.
Plus I got my new digital LED gauges installed. A little over 9 hours from start to finish, the kids and I were whipped!

The plan at this point is to pick up a semi auto .22 simply for cost of ammunition, then acquire some more fun caliber pistols. At this point though I have fairly limited knowledge on them, so any recommendations you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Until recently just transporting your handguns was quite a hassle involving two phone calls, and a permit, and you were only allowed to transport between your home and the range you had a membership at. It’s still not the easiest thing to do, but the permit only needs to be acquired once every five years. But if you get pulled over, and your guns are out of sight you have no legal obligation to tell the officer that you have guns.
A .357 magnum revolver is on my list of wants as well, neat that .38 special rounds can be fired through them.

I have seen many people buy 1911's with adjustable sights. The very first thing they do is a improper grip and adjust the sights for that bad hold. The nonadjustable sights teach you proper holding. Then you can shoot any 1911 you pickup, except the adjustable sights that someone set improperly.
I have around 40,000 rounds threw 1911's. Wore out one reloader. The second one was about 2/3's wore out when I got out of playing so hard.
A 1911 in 22 caliber would be the best one to learn on. If your thinking of play with 1911 series.
