I was gifted a walthers p22 and its a fun little gun to shoot. I have a smith and Wesson sd40ve and I haven't shot it a whole lot so I'm not to sure how I like it yet.

I've got one as well......mine would spit the brass all over you. Lol
Little work on the extractor got it fixed up and with a little polishing on the feed ramp and slide/hammer contact surface I got it running like a sewing machine

Oh and if I may make a suggestion.......if you want something economical to shoot and have a easy time finding ammo for,I'd go 9mm. I have never had issues buying 9mm,never had to stand in a line to get it,never had a limit placed on it where I could not buy more than one box. Plus the way 22 is made these days ,also with the price of it,I'd pass.

If I'm honest with everyone here I handload and cast for everything I shoot. 9mm,45acp,45colt,22tcm,.40S&W,44spl,223/5.56,300blk,277,308,30-06,30-30,12g,.410
So.....I don't worry too much about ammo prices.

cman that roundage was put threw a series 70 combat commander and a series 80 gold cup. The commander was my carry weapon. The gold cup was for playing. The sights on the gold cup would dig into your side when concealed in a inside the belt holster. That's why it was playing only. Unconfortable to carry for half the year.

Yup, just saw an ad for 50 rounds for 7.99 on a after xmas sale here in the state. 9mm has gotten a bad rap for being weak. Its not. I have shot a few 9mm, but don't own one. My father carried a 357 magnum when he was a police chief in the 80's. They then went to 9mm for a few years. They then stepped to 40 SW. The 9mm has some very good loads available now and is nothing to shake a stick at. If I were in the market for a semi auto it would be a 9mm.

Hand load for it and the shy is the limit to what it can do. I load anywhere from 147gn to 124gn lead projectiles for the round. Mostly for a 1911,p89,and an AR. The 147gn bullet over 3.5gn of bullseye powder, ran thru that 16" ar is a blast to shoot. Fairly accurate fun round.
