It's getting harder every year to ignore the prices these old trucks are bringing, I have bad thoughts running around in my head more often, I am holding on by the skin of my teeth, have a few guys wanting to buy the truck.

They are bringing insane money. It would be hard not to sell for the right offer.

You don't need to sell, just charge the guys that use your pic! That would be like getting a part time job without the work.

And some people are just insane. Having said that, if someone was beating on my door wanting to trade a 12v 98 club cab for my truck it would be gone as fast as we could get to the county clerks office

That is nothing but the truth. I've been feeling the same way for about the past year or so. I'm getting antsy too.

Having to put another injection pump on the damn thing yesterday didn't help either. Old one had the head and rotor seize up. Not good......running 70 and it just shut down :( (schit!)

The dodge.....tho the Chevy is giving me fits as well. The injector tips I installed in it a month ago started hazing really bad and I sent them off to a local-ish shop to see what the problem was. They where found to be leaking some and where supposed to be fixed but upon re-installation were found to be slightly better, but still hazing.
So far I've tried everything to make them work......including advancing the base timing to around 30* (24* is supposed to be the sweet spot on a 24v/ve combo) only to have a greyish/white heavy haze at idle, while freakishly strong running. Revs like a big cam cummins and will turn those tiny tires over like they're off the ground.
Eric Gilbert is helping me out with it now and hopefully I'll have it sorted before long.

On another note, I was just looking back at the 2015 BS thread, it had 145 pages, and 2165 posts, last years had 55 pages and 813 posts. You guys are slacking off! Get rid of that Facebook crap and get back here!

whats a cheap price for a 2006 Cummins auto 2wd 3500 with the motor completely junk. He had a programmer in it and ran it at 110 on about the hottest setting and it pretty much melted down. He said the turbo and manifold were glowing after 15 minutes of sitting. Its my cousins boss's truck and they tried to get rid of it for 1500 and no one wants it. I'm thinking about offering 700 lol.

A used engine would run around 3k or so. A 2wd truck not beat up on body and interior might bring 12 to 14k running. So the cheaper you can buy it. The better the profit margin.

I lost the clutch in my truck the other day.

Mine is sitting in my garage for a little tlc. Put rust converter in a bunch of spots, pulled the rear bumper, and tailgate off to mask, and sprayed some bedliner on the lower quarters, and back, fixed my front end vibration, and templated new bumper brackets which I'll build when I can get out to dads.

While the bedliner was curing yesterday I decided to pull apart my old s362/73/.8. Good news is the bearings are in perfect shape, and it actually has a steel 360* thrust washer, then someone asked something on cf, so I took my core he351ve apart, and compared turbine wheels. They're quite different.; also the he351ve uses an hx40 flange.
