Well, I suspect I’ve figured out why the mileage on my car has been so poor (it doesn’t break 40mpg by much), the thermostat is stuck open. It also looks like my jb welded upper intercooler pipe is not fully sealed, so I’ll have to order some stuff to deal with that. The question I have for you guys is with goals to have the airflow to need 2.5” piping should I step up now, and do it once, and done, or go with the 2” that currently exceeds the stock vnt?

I like the saying, "buy once, cry once." Also, "if you don't have to time to do it correctly, how will you have the time to do it over?"

I think this should have an asterisk after it with a disclaimer saying it doesnt include roadside repairs

Bought a cheap rust bucket 90 4runner to drive while doing repairs to the w250. I had a line on a 77 power wagon crew cab Short box, but it sold before I could get enough cash together. :( And apparently I have to pull the valve body on the 47rh to change the wiring plug on the trans to get od and lockup working again. Still gotta swap the heater core, and get the radiator de-scaled so it doesn't start getting hot at higher rpms. Was hoping to get the power wagon to drive for the winter while gutting the drive train out of the w250 this winter. Still on the hunt for a crew cab or suburban to swap the drivetrain into. A local trans shop quoted me 3-400 to change the plug on trans, not something I really want to mess with lol.

Ugh, frost on the windows this morning. Shoulda parked the truck in the garage last night.

Yup, gots a garage now, with insulation, power, and a cement floor. :D Now I can finally start on some projects I've been wanting to do. Like pull the motor outta the d250 and go over it and get it ready to put in the 96 next year. Then get the p-pump motor rebuilt and use it and the 727/3.07 outa the d250 for some kind of nasty hot rod.

Ban Hammer! :grrr: It was about 90* with a heat index of about the same here today. I'm getting tired of this crap! Friday is a high of 72, so that will be better.

Yeah it’s been miserable here too. Mornings have been about 5* above freezing, and temps are topping out in the teens, or barely over 20 (less than 70 I guess).

To be fair Pete we’re both a lot further north than you, and it makes a big difference in length of day.

Our thermometer have both scales. Ours is just more logical, and better thought out.

We've been enjoying now over a couple of consecutive weeks of 90+ with heat-indexes of over 100.

Then there's this spinny-thing out in the pond that looks more and more like it's gonna be in the neighborhood come Thursday or so.

Good times. :)

Most of last week was like that for us, minus the spinney thing off the coast. High was 62 today, froze my ass off! Weather guessers say it will be 90 again Wednesday or Thursday.

There’s snow forecast for Wednesday and Thursday, and overnight temps below freezing.

On the plus side I finally have a pistol to shoot. Just a cheap 9mm 1911, but it feels nice to shoot, though it’s only got ~100 rounds through it. Sure makes me want to pick up several hundred more rounds, and make the most of what non-freezing weather I have left.
