I had/have the same notion on synthetic oils, especially if they are true synthetics. Mainly for me because syns have a higher flashpoint, and conventional oil is hard/resistant enough to burn as is. Synthetic even more resistant.

Gasoline does nothing to promote the burning of the oil, the only thing it is there for is to thin the oil closer to the viscosity of diesel. As long as the gas/oil mix is thouroughly agitated, the petroleum based gas will blend with the petroleum based oil.

One thing it seems like a lot of the people with coking problems don't do enough is stand in the go pedal. That's what keeps coking at bay in my opinion, most people don't see WOT enough to prevent coking running heavy blends.

Has anyone bought or used one of these tps sensors?

After removing the fs plunger and spring upon pull cable installing, does it strain anything in the pump now to chop the pedal at high load?

Lil old h1c's are pretty resilient to barking aren't they?

Still probably not real good for it, having the fuel stop moving like that. Less chance of it damaging anything with plunger bits floating around in there though.

HX 35's are tough too. My '97 barks it on a regular basis if I let out quick, I cringe every time it does it.

I have 2 tps sitting around I don’t plan on using on anything. One I modified for travel with no upper throttle stop.

Ive developed such a habit of easing off the throttle I'll probably just keep it up then.

3 turns exactly is where my stock IC fuel screw bottomed out at. I know it varies with each pump, but is the lengthened fuel screw going to give at least another full turn you think before runaway?

Spence, no idea! It may be another 1/2 a turn, or it might be 3 more. I had mine bottomed out and it didn't run away. I usually run it about 2 turns out from bottomed so I don't load the pump so hard. If I'm going to the dyno or track I bottom it out and readjust the idle. ;)

I'll leave it be for a bit then. Poured 3 gallons of blended w90 (90% oil 10% gas) in the truck after settling for 1 month. I'll slowly increase the percentage of oil to diesel over the next fillups and see how it goes.

I've got 80 gallons settling right now, the goal is to run 50% oil 50% diesel before winter, and see how much I can or can't run when it gets cold

Let me dig around in the garage. I used to have a couple of spares.

Slackers! Where is everybody?
I hope I have all my water leaks in the cab sealed up, now I just need to put the drivers side interior all back together. Then it's on to fabbing up my new air filter mount!

Hi Jeff! :hs:
Got the interior together and the mount mostly made. Going to take it to work to do some trimming with the plasma then see how it looks.

I read a bit ago that 4 cyl VE pumps on 4bt's can move as similar amount of fuel compared to a 6 cyl VE. Is that correct and how does that work?

Why wouldn't they? If they have a 12mm plunger and a comparable cam plate they should move the same fuel. Only difference will be only 4 lines instead of 6, so you can only get (theoretically) 2/3 the horsepower from it.
