I love when it snows because it's money falling from the sky. Between that and the other crap breaking at work I've been racking up the overtime. I've bought a few needed parts for the Excursion. Plan to order a bunch more next Friday. I may have this thing finished before to much longer.

And don't forget, I'm the road tech for the Case dealer. I was out this morning, it was a balmy 6 or 7* when I left the shop. Heat wave for the rest of the week, the temp is supposed go up to about 20 by morning, then be in the 30's and almost 40 for the rest of the week for the highs.

Winter's not so bad now that I don't have to work outside 5 days a week. Our winter farm chores average 15 - 20 minutes a day. I've worked about 20 hours in the last month and a half in construction (for other people). The rest of my time is taken up with sleeping in, projects around the farm, some indoors some out, etc. Makes up for the 80 - 90 hour weeks in warm weather.

Man those temps would be nice Pete. It’s been warming up here, the windchill was only -30 this morning, and it warmed up to something like -10. I went out in -10 in a t-shirt on Saturday, and didn’t find it all that cold, and at least there’s only 4-5 months of winter left.

I cleaned the intake on my car last week (well I tried to put my egr delete in, but the car wouldn’t start with the egr valve in place), and it turns out that was the whole reason it wouldn’t rev past 3 grand, and why it ran so horribly when it was really cold (there might have been a 7/16” hole through the carbon, and that stuff was pretty hard).

I didn't mind the cold to much when I was young, and still don't if I don't have to be in it to work, if I am playing it's OK.... it has been cold here for about 4 weeks in the singles at night and between 15-25 in the day, we did have a couple days in the low 40's, this morning it was 10, for the next 10 days it looks good.

the ice in my pond is 14 inches thick, my granddaughter was riding her go-cart on it last sunday with me out there. she can drift with the best of them. :D

where is this global warming I keep hearing about...

:finger:
Worst part is my hands have been so damaged that if it's below 10 or so my fingers get cold pretty quick. Other than that I don't mind working out in the cold, I can plug right along on most things.

This is global warming, it's not just temperature rise, it's extreme weather events. Blizzards in the south, not going above 30 for a month at a time here, worse storms than we used to get.

We got more snow in the last week and a half then we got all last year. I'm hoping we get some more.

It was 40 here today and about the same tomorrow. I'll take it! I did a couple things on the white truck I have been putting of because it's been crappy. Monday it supposed to rain most of the day. It'll be flooding again. :?

Ran the 046 through a little locust today and got her good n warm. Got to be a touch lean in the cut for my liking so I richened the H screw a bit and no change. Richened another 1/4 turn and no change.....same WOT rpm whether the screw is bottomed or hanging out of the carb. L screw does what it should.

I rebuilt the carb last year and tuned both H and L accordingly. Anyone know why no change from the H screw at all?

Depending on how old the saw is they are dummy screws. You can turn them all you want but they won't do a thing.
