Nothing like starting a wrenching project in sub-zero weather...

Why bother? That's cold enough to freeze the nuts right off the truck.

We get it all, 100* temps w/humidity to boot. Misquitos too, but not the size of small airplanes. You haven't lived until you've endured real sub-zero temperatures w/out windchill! Toss the windchill in there and you'll skip on the fancy this-and-that's for the truck and splurg for a rack of fleece lined jeans and Thinsulated Gore-Tex everythings...

I know where you're comming from...I was in Fargo/Bismark last Feb for 3 days on business. That was long enough for me. Youse guys can have that crap. Because I had to wear dressy shoes my feet froze the whole time.
Funniest part was that I had a guy with me from our Brazil plant that had never been to the US before, let alone ever saw anything but tropical temperatures (ok their winter gets down to low 50s at night). He was really cold.

CAJUN93- I was down on the gulf coast afte rHurrican Katrina, and when Rita passed south, and it was absolutely miserable. How anyone with an IQ of over 40 could stand to live there and LIKE it is beyond my comprehension. Nights got down to the mid 80s, and my g/f talked about the mid 50s they were having back here in Cape Girardeau.

If it gets below 40 here, people get frostbite. I am disappointed with winters here so far. It was much colder growing up than now. Heck, we havent even had ANY snow this winter. And winter is a stretch- less than 1 week of sub-freezing temps (highs stay under 32*F); usual is in the 40-50 range. ANd lots and lots of rain. I have to wear my mud boots in the back yard. I liked Colorado better- not bad temps, no humidity, summers got up in the 90s, little to no rain, snow disappeared in 3 days..... Think I'll start job hunting out there instead of here.

as someone with and IQ of almost 42, i resent that  . yeah, summers down here can be brutal. good news is drag strips stay open all year. and really, one 35"-40" inch redfish trying to pull out of the boat on a saturday afternoon makes it worthwhile.
