2nd 3rd 4th vehicles?

Postby GO OVRIT » Fri Apr 18, 2008 8:06 pm

So what other vehicles are you guys in to? Looks like some VW owners? I've had a few 73-93 dodge trucks with gas engines as well as CTDs. Currently one with a 440 and one with an efi 360. Also a big Jeep guy. Older Jeeps that is. Whatever I've got it doesn't stay stock very long.

dodge neons. painfully easy to work on, and cheap. my first one ran 13.9 on street tires with no power adders. my srt4 run 13.2 @ 109 with severe traction problems. the latest one i bought will have a 2.4 instead of the factory 2.0. its an acr model with koni adjustable struts, and will be a autocross/daily driver for me and the soon to be wife.

I really like my 1996 Impala SS. There is just something about a big car that will scoot. I picked it up at farm equipment auction for $6200. It was a one owner, never been wrecked, bone stock, 49,000 original mile, in excellent shape car. It just needed a good detailing. It gets 24 mpg on the highway, which isn't too bad for a 4200 lbs car. It's also one of the most comfortable cars i have ever driven.

girlfriend has an 04 Dakota. I wont own a nonCTD vehicle unless it'd be a VW/ Mercedes diesel.

Mom has a 92 D350 CTD, similar to my Green Goober, but with an auto; and a 98 Town Car with a police interceptor that gets 27-30mpg hwy at ~70mph. I verifed by hand calculating MPG that the overhead display is accurate. I have seen upper 20s many times. Even got 32 going 55mph.

Nooblet, if you lived closer, I'd give you a bunch of Scout parts. I've got more parts than storage.

Thats too bad because I sure could use them! My scout doesn't run for $hit :( I need to rebuild the carb AGAIN, and it has a massive vacuum leak. And that was just he stuff that was wrong with it a year ago :?

I'm in San Antonio, and my Scout is in Corpus Christi at my buddies farm. He spends most of his time working on the couple hundred tractors they have so he doesn't have time to mess with it. Its a super fun piece of old American steel, I will bring it back to life some time!

I got my $400 out of, so I can't complain too much ;)

I like 66.5-71 Dodge trucks, but have owned about every other dodge from 62 on, I think, in some way or another.
Currently, I have two 95 rams, one diesel, and a 74 D300, that I drive.
My car love, is dusters, one of these days, my lil 72 will have a 7000rpm small block, and a five speed................. :?

I own the two CTD's in my signature. The 90 was my first "car" I ever bought. If I ever have a family of my own I'd like to do a crew cab 4x4 CTD conversion. The big dreams are a 65-66 Chevy Impala with a big-block, something mild (400-500hp :D ) for a nice cruiser and a 68 Dodge Dart 2-door with a 500+hp 408 small-block, Keisler 5spd, lots of other stuff to make it lighter and go faster. Then I want to run it in the Silver State 100. But for now, I'm just playing with the 92.
