That's alot of 70's. Only thing I can say to the Dana doesn't list a dual hub for a 60 is maybe because they use the same hub as the 70, among many other parts. I just robbed the hubs, and brakes from that 60 in my backyard for my 70. Oh and the wheel bearings of course, since I used the hubs.

Last question, why is it, every 81-85 350 dually crew cab that pops up here and there, comes equipped with a Dana 60 rear? Oh thats right in your mind they are 70's haha. Ok I'm done ;) .

I'm not against a little discussion, or a thread wandering. (I do it myself a lot!) But this is too much!
Get back to the topic of the thread.

Daryl, I don't even know if my truck will be together by then! I don't think I will be going anyways, money is really tight here. Maybe we can find a shipper like last year, providing he doesn't hit a tree again. ;)

Well I may have been wrong over the dually 60. I did some weed cuttin to measure the two 60HD's I have in the yard. One from a single wheel 91 d250. The other from my 85 crew cab d350 dually. Both measure spring pad to backing plate the same  . Didn't do a side to side measurement though. I would guess the same  . Soooo, maybe someone put dually hubs on this single wheel D60HD. It's got me confused. I need to find a part number or build number on the axle tube to get to the bottom of it.

What is the difference between a D60 and a D60HD? I was told the inner wheel bearings are different in a D70 vs a D60.. Well they were the same in my situation because I swapped the hub, bearings, seal, brakes etc. Maybe the HD makes it have 70 hubs/parts?

I was gonna scrap these two 60's I have, but now I'm keeping them considering they have some parts I can use in my 70's. Heck even the spindle locking nut which is about $16 at NAPA, hell I'll steal those out of them.. Actually I think I have already in both LOL.
